I play the recorder as did my older sister but how many and what are the names of the different recorders please fantastic playing listenedtoit 8times tonight while doing college work
I'm not sure any other work does the alto recorder such a delightful tribute. Anyway, you play it well, though, it sounds a bit shrill and cracked at times--I'm quite certain it's the recording equipment and not your playing.
My wife and I play these sonatas in canon (one piece of music - the second part is just one bar behind) on transverse flute and recorder - the timbre difference between the two makes it a bit more interesting....
sommerprosse87 - Sie haben Recht. Die Blockflöte kling immer reiner als Querflöte - hat nicht so viele 'overtones', besonders wenn sie auf Pflaume oder Ahorn ist....
Sorry for my english , i,m from chile. Carefull with the ends of the notes, they tend to fall down and tunnig changes. Also the articulation is unclear in some passagi, you should try a faster tong touch.
die Flöte hat irgendwie nicht so einen reinen Klang.... ???!!! Oder kommt mir das nur so vor??? Klingt a bisserl heiser!
And which kind of tounging(single or double) have you used at the faster movement? And are you using always your fingervibtratos at any pieces instead of the normal vibrato with the air?
For this piece, I used d'l d'l for the very fast passages and d r d r for the non-leaping quaver passages. I use t d t d for major differentiation (when I remember...) Finally, I never use air (throat or diaphram) vibrato. (I did once in a Fantasia for fun. It didn't go down well...) Thanks for your comment.
I'd like to add that I haven't found many places where 'air' vibrato works that well in baroque music. If it can be used, something else may also be used. I need to think about that in my Fantasia.
Visually and musically excellent, however, the sound has a very metallic ringing sound - I think the mic and/or the bit-rate is very poor.

wow
the second movement is way way too fast
Telemann even wrote in most of his pieces that allegro was slower. great technique but too fast

it looks like a recorder but looks longer and its wooden insted of plastic...
vixstrangeha 4 years ago
Well, some recorders nowadays are made of wood instead of plastic. And they even come in different sizes. ;)
tpmm1 3 years ago
well, at first they were made of wood, not the opposite.
chobrocoli 3 years ago
Well, I know, but it was of course meant ironically, as it was a reply to someone who obviously thought a recorder should be made of plastic.

oh right sorry... didn't catch the sarcasm
