What u don't understand is that it's against Islam to be a terrorist. It's a very huge sin to kill someone unless it's in self-defense, stealing as well. How can someone be a Muslim when that person is breaking the religions rules and when the person knows its wrong? So calling a Muslim a terrorist is like like calling someone who plays soccer a basketball player. A Muslim is not allowed to follow some of Islams teachings and ignore the rest.

@HabbishProduction Good point. However, in Islam, if someone commits apostasy, (ie renounce their faith in Islam), they must be punished with death according to the Quran. If someone you knew did this though, I doubt you would kill them, and yet you still call yourself a Muslim despite not following the Quran in this regard. It therefore raises the question, How much of the Quran must someone follow to be a Muslim? And the answer to that question is very subjective.
