Most ironic thing about this game was I was scared to death of the last boss.. ***spoilers*** considering what it was, the little glob- god that thing freaked me out.

i found out about PE when i first got the PS when i was younger, after playing a demo of it (i think there was a demo of it on the demo disc, i could be wrong) and then i bought the game. I never got far on it, though (Still cant)

I love Parasite Eve! I remember getting the demo disc with the PS and I watched this trailer so many times. I think I finally stopped when I got to ex-game 24, but I'll still play it, just won't save it anymore. Oh, and the boss that shot bubbles would have to be the Crab.
lol yeah i remember the first time I saw the trailer, back on an early Official Playstation Magazine Demo disc (back when demos with magazines werent commonplace for consoles lol). As soon as I saw/heard the trailer I knew I wanted the game. Still own the game today, case, book and all.
Nope Black Disc. Original Playstation One. Parasite Eve released back in the nineties. Back when Square was still Squaresoft and they were trying their hands on all genres of gaming. (fighting,shooting,etc.)
I luved the first one. The second one wasn't bad, but I didn't like the story line as much as I liked the first one. The battle system was cool in the second one though. More offensive PE powers too. :D
The most KICKASS game ever made, in my opinion. The bastards just managed to screw up the second one. I mean, it didn't suck, it just wasn't as good as the first one, which by the way, I beat at least 10 times AND beat the extra final boss in the Chryslar Building. That boss was REALLY friggin hard, but the ending wasn't really that cool. Except the extra pics in the credits was nice. I'd be playing PE right now, if my PS2 wasn't screwed up...
Lol, I didn't find Maya that hard. She was fairly easy if you go into the battle with ATLEAST 400 defense, and 600 attack power. But you are right. In my opinion, the first IS THE BEST ONE! The story is there, the music, concepts, artwork, everything. The second one isn't good enough... and the story is kind of off/not there.

I think Daniel was mentioned at one point in the second one that he took over the 17th Precinct...or something like that. I guess he went on with his life, raising his son. Maeda also went back to Japan to continue his research. I agree, it was different, but the new battle style for "Parasite Eve 2" was very refreshing and a lot more fun. That's also why I liked it.
also,in PE2,daniel is refered to once actually.if you examine the TV in the motel room gary douglas gives you,aya will say this at the end of the text that appears:"he reminds me of daniel."
I still have this game, and I still play it (same with PE2). I also pre-ordered the Third Birthday!
