  • Wow I remember when I felt like that When I DANCED! The Thrill and Pure love 4 the Dance that you created it your self!!!! So freeing -You Go Liza! Melinda Singer/Songwriter and Lover of Dancing....

  • WOW

  • amazing and keep in mind Liza was like 45 here!!!!!!!!!

  • @ajgroelant ~ Se was 45, not "like" 45.

  • @edwardjames50 get a "like" a life

  • Fosse's finest efflorescence! Soulfully gracefully balletic, yet with incomparable rhythmic precision, swing & oomph; whitegoldhot.

    * At end, the young blonde is Jane Krakowsky, likely freshly from drama school.

  • @JudgeJulieLit - Jane was already a veteran at this point, having appeared in the first Vacation film and Starlight Express on Broadway. She plays much younger on film that she really is.

  • @kyleorlando , Thx for those theatre bio bits !

  • @JudgeJulieLit This is not Fosse. Choreographer is Danny Daniels.

  • @emilytripp , Thank you for identifying the choreographer -- great work here. But I do see the Fosse influence in the staccato sassy brisance, the fedora hat tricks, and the movements of isolated body parts.

  • @emilytripp --- Yes but the Fosse moves are there..he just put the dance together, are you a dancer ? if you are then you would these are FOSSE MOVES

  • @mcbdpb Nope, I'm not a dancer. But a Liza fan since Fosse did "Liza with a Z," in 1972 and so have taken notice of Fosse ever since -- from his part as a lesser-known dancer in "Kiss Me Kate"(1953,choreographed by Hermes Pan),to his influence in Michael Jackson vids,to his obvious influence in last year's "Burlesque."Don't have to be a dancer to appreciate Fosse. My only point in my original comment was to give credit where credit is due. BTW, this ranks very high on my list of best dance #s.

  • Kennedy Center Honors! It sadly will never happen it you know this countrys politics.

Tell Liza thank you by buying her CDs.

  • What a wonderful scene. God, that woman can move!

  • Brilliant brilliant brilliant! Everything about this woman is sheer magnificence.

  • Bravo Bravo

  • superLIZA!! Simply fantastic!! Nothing new under the sun..after all, when asked:"Do you feel more of an actress, a dancer or a singer?" She answered with no hesitation" "DANCER!" I'll always remember her "City Lights" number in

THE ACT..a milestone in the whole history of Broadway..sheer energy and talent ! BRAVISSIMA!!

  • C'mon Kennedy Center Honors! What are you waiting for? Liza is a national treasure. She deserves this honor!

  • I can't believe this movie is not out on DVD yet.

  • @NaturVita - I agree, I love this movie! It should be on DVD already.

  • Oh Magnificent!!! This was one of latest Liza 100% Her potentials, her skills have deminished as time passes bye...her life full of hardships with moments of drogadiction, alcoholism, etc They did make her pay....

  • WOW !! I forget from this dance !!! Thank you so much !!! I love her and I love you too !!! E.

  • Simply one of the Best dance-numbers, EVER....Thanks, Liza & Company- Blessings and Love to All.

  • wow DAMN,,,sometimes I forget JUST good she really was,,her dancing is really from her soul on this one...her body movements were like a piece of art..wow,,THATS dancing from the gut...

  • this is absolutely as good as it gets.

if it's not, prove me wrong?

  • why isn't it available on DVD?

  • cool!

  • omg she was so one of micheal jacksons influences.... 2.28 onwards....

    xxxx what a dancer x

  • it just doesn't get any better than this...

  • Is it me or do I see alot of steps here that Michael Jackson made his own!!!

  • Is that Jane Krakowski?? I love Liza!!

  • Stunning moment of an otherwise small-scale film. Reminiscent of "The Music and the Mirror" solo from A CHORUS LINE- the same kind of all-or-nothing virtuoso dance, riff, and passion. Even multiple mirrors. But it's LIZA-- at age 45, looking and dancing marvelously!! You can, in fact, see smidgens of her real Fosse-esque training in certain moments. 1:35 is a great moment when she pulls off the skirts and lets go completely.

  • ahh Liza at her sensational best !

  • Balanchine, Fosse... but I see Luigi's influence. She's not just with the music - it's like Liza makes the music when she moves. Flawless.

  • liza is so good just love her

  • friggin funky!! go liza!!

  • This solo is going to be my inspiration the create my own to enter in the Dance School, here in Portugal. (:

  • i love this movie like everyone else i wish it was on DVD

  • I love this film, its not on dvd !!

Do u know what the song/instrumental shes dancing to please ?

  • The song is called "Stepping Out" was written by Kander & Ebb for the film. She also used the same song at Radio City Music Hall in her concert.

  • Exactly.. don't fix it if it ain't broke!

    Thanks for your comments!

  • wow you can really see the Fosse influennce, Fosse inturned influenced Michael Jackson, who uses some of those moves as well

  • Great video. Liza is so great. Thanks for posting it. : )

  • Liza is such a beautiful dancer, and this scene really shows that! I love this movie so, so much; thanks for posting 'Liza's Dance' :)

  • SHE IS THE ONE!!!I love her very much!!THANKS!!
