College alone does not guarantee becoming an officer, but you have to have a 4 year degree to get rank higher than a captain. And to become a general, you are most likely an officer in the military for at least 20 years. And that's if you NEVER stepped out of line and took every opportunity possible.

@justinbieberhater190 Chances are from the uniforms it's a refugee camp. We had a lot of them in Iraq because of the Taliban attacking villages and a lot of Iraqis were forced to flee in the middle of the night so the US and UN opened up camps to help them.

I am a 22 Navy vet and one thing that many people forget at the end of day we can go home and unwind but these brave men and women do not get that break. War is all the time and there is no breaks, so we all need to take time out and say THANKS FOR EVERYTHING especially around the holiday when they are away from their families and we are with our families. Thanks for the blanket of freedom that you provide for us and get home safely because all of you are my heroes!!!

@Carmine1116 It takes alot of hard work and effort to be a seal...they go through hell just in training for example having to go out on the ocean in 25 degree or less water tempature and flip there boat upside then fix it then flip it back over or trying to swim in 15 foot deep water with there hands feet tied up....and just little compared to what they go through...most seals dont make it to be 30 years old they die before they get 30....and thats just the beginning..hope it helped a little

My father lost his leg in Iraq a few weeks ago (He thankfully came home alive though) But for some reason people look at him like hes a weirdo or something, WHY? maybe for one second they can't appreciate the fact that he had a RPG fly right into his window just so that the people can walk around freely and even form an opinon. So please don't look weirdly at a wounded warrior but thank all men and women troops you see.
It's videos like these that make me want to join the army even more, but my best friends are trying to talk me out of it and here I am in a split decision whether to serve my country or not. Still the respect these men deserve is way more than they are given.

@justinbieberhater190 Chances are from the uniforms it's a refugee camp. We had a lot of them in Iraq because of the Taliban attacking villages and a lot of Iraqis were forced to flee in the middle of the night so the US and UN opened up camps to help them.

I am a 22 Navy vet and one thing that many people forget at the end of day we can go home and unwind but these brave men and women do not get that break. War is all the time and there is no breaks, so we all need to take time out and say THANKS FOR EVERYTHING especially around the holiday when they are away from their families and we are with our families. Thanks for the blanket of freedom that you provide for us and get home safely because all of you are my heroes!!!

@Carmine1116 It takes alot of hard work and effort to be a seal...they go through hell just in training for example having to go out on the ocean in 25 degree or less water tempature and flip there boat upside then fix it then flip it back over or trying to swim in 15 foot deep water with there hands feet tied up....and just little compared to what they go through...most seals dont make it to be 30 years old they die before they get 30....and thats just the beginning..hope it helped a little

My boyfriend is in Aphganistan! He has a 3 week old daughter and its a couple of weeks before christmas! I plan on going into the marines when i graduate high school. Whoever decides to talk crap about the American Army are fucking idiots! If it wasnt for my boyfriend and all the other soldiers yall would be fucked! There is people who have familys praying and hoping their family members come home just like my family! I have a little girl who needs her father and i need my boyfriend!

My father lost his leg in Iraq a few weeks ago (He thankfully came home alive though) But for some reason people look at him like hes a weirdo or something, WHY? maybe for one second they can't appreciate the fact that he had a RPG fly right into his window just so that the people can walk around freely and even form an opinon. So please don't look weirdly at a wounded warrior but thank all men and women troops you see.

my friend just graduated Kilo company training on Paris Island SC. im so proud of him, GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU MARINES OUT THERE. no one can deny that they are sacrificing their lives for you and i. for those of you that think otherwise, there's no way someone would pointlessly sacrifice years and years of their lives on tour for the fun of it. ill tell you now that war is hell and they serve every day giving up there lives for you......God Bless the United States Marine Corps.
