  • I must say I really became a fan here on youtube on all Fairbanks &Morse engines, I did not know them though the company was very big, and still is in charge doing an awesome lot of technical stuff. This 2 stroke hot bulb here is very nice too, also there must be a reduction gear to the tuning wheels because ignition beat and wheel rev do not fit for 1:1,

  • Wow - whats a beatiful engine!

  • Twas ever thus

  • Wonderful! It has really hypnotic sound.

  • This is a Fairbanks-Morse type Y-V two-stroke oil engine which was made up until 1924 when the similar Y-VA diesels were introduced. These were made with up to four cylinders and 160-200 horsepower. They are started with compressed air- even on a single-cylinder engine it is quite impossible to start by hand because of the enormous displacement.

  • Is this at Vista?

  • Read the "About This Video"

  • I don't know the answers.
