My best advice would be get a bigger hard drive. There's just no one episode that's going to have all the clips you're going to need to make a good solid video. Unfortunately this means sifting through tons and tons of footage for clips only a few seconds long at a time.

You're off to a good start having made it through your first video. Now it's time to sit down and break down your favorite amvs and the details behind what makes them great. It'll take forever, but it's very rewarding.
