VERY good question. I think the media sort of trains us to do that. I call it 'schooling the minnows.' Denzel a good role model though, which is something I cannot say for 95% of them who are idolized today

People look for heros. They pick what the media gives them. My generation worshipped Elvis and later, the Beatles.

We were meant to worship God. My generation blew it. Only hero worth your real worship = his Son, Jesus Christ. I hope everyone on this page eventually gets to that place, and it's not a huge chore... but a surrender... of our selves.. to his will, and not our own

Then his purpose for our life unfolds every day and we have Peace with God, through Jesus Christ

i talked to him when i used to work at a movie theater in Beverly Hills

he was going to watch iron man and he was the only one in the theater, and i told him that i wish i couldve had a dad like him, and he chuckled and let me get a picture with him

yeah that is definitely true, i haven't seen my dad since i was 6 i am almost 20 now it just really sucks growing up without a father figure but oh well i know god is my only father now, and thanks for your concern i really appreciate it

If I could do it, I would hand you my own family experience and say 'Here kid, this is yours' but I cannot. My dad and mom loved each other til he died 16 yrs ago.

Dad = honest man, and a very caring person. Never abuse danyone. Well one exception. some would be thug pulled a knife on him and dad hit him once and the dude was out for 20 minutes. that's it.

I am 64 now, and still have good memories of growing up, although we did have our hassles.
