  • TYSM for this video i had been trying to find a way to keep the ip static or at least get a domain so i wouldnt have to keep telling the name to ppl great vid.

  • I did everything as you said and I cannot connect to my DNS service... why? I can connect via localhost, but no one can connect to my dns... whats going on here? My ports are forwarded correctly.

  • So I need to pay in order to keep my domain?? cause appears the "add to cart", "activate service", "order price", "sub-total" buttons/text. I'm scared :S

  • Hi i need help with ts3 server how do i save all the work i do to a server like rooms etc so i can import into any future update as in past when update to server comes out i have to start from scratch making the server

    Thank for any help Don

  • Thank you so much! I had literally no idea what to do until you made this simple and easy to understand tutorial! I have a running Teamspeak 3 server thanks to you!

  • Hey how do you find out the username and passport for the portforwarding part? Please reply back as soon as possible.

  • dude i did everything it says failed to connect i put my hostname in the adress bar it says failed to connect

  • @CombatGamers Woah, wait. First you were talking about that "important thingy" you didnt have now you can't connect. Dude, please explain your questions right.

Answering your above questions, sometimes people can't connect to their own hosts because of their routers. If you can connect using the hostname "localhost" then it should work with the hostname you got from DynDNS.

Just ask one of your buds to try connect to you. If that still doesn't work then it's something with your port forwarding

  • @CompuGeekProductions hey man i just try setting up my own server and i did everything i can connect to localhost but not to the dyndns host name... all my firewalls are off and im pretty sure my portforwarding is rightl.

  • man i did everything the updater says its on and the status is good i can login to my server with the localhost and my friends can connect with my ip but the domain name does not work :S

  • @thebaze1 hmm you should login to your dyndns account from their website and check if the IP is the same on their site as is on your internet connection. And then you will see if the updater is working properly or not. Then you can just change it there. Also I've seen some routers have a dyndns updater built into them so you can put your details into your router instead of having a client on your PC. Gud luck :) hope you come right. reply back for more support, im here most days :P

  • @thebaze1 dude i am sorry i wasnt able to conect with the domain because i am the host other people are able ohh and i just subded!!! is there anyother way to get more than 32 clients ??? cause my server is full

  • I have the same problem as hetsar, i will give you my details so you can go on my pc in teamviewer if you want. I will pm you my username

  • @coollint got your message. And replied :)

  • I cant connect to the domain...

    all i get is-

Trying to resolve hostname (my Server)

Trying to connect to server on (my server name and port)

    Failed to connect to server

Note the (my server) thing is just to hide my details

    Please help :(

  • @hetsar that usually occurs when the server is not running, ports aren't forwarded or your firewall is blocking the connection. I had firewall problems with kozoderf, he's using ESET NOD32. so if you have that you can try add an exception to your firewall.

If you still can't get it working then I can connect to your pc via TeamViewer...

  • @CompuGeekProductions Hi, Yes still no luck

I would be very grateful if you could :)

  • @hetsar send me a message with your TeamViewer ID and password. You can google TeamViewer. It's a free download. Also if you can give me your timezone and a time you are available so I can see if I will be available at that time. :)

  • <3 1337 i owe u

  • @ImFamyProductions

No problem ay, glad I could help :)

  • Fixed The problem with Kozmoderf. Was Firewall related :P Hope you enjoy bud :)

  • the DynDNS thingy did not work for me not the updater the other one

  • like the domain name i can't connect to it

  • @kozmoderf "other one" Port forwarding? Hmmm.... Are you sure your ports are properly forwarded? If you want help you can send me a message and we can use TeamViewer to sort out the problem....

  • im having problem with the dns updater its erroring

  • @tyriquue Hey Tyri, Could you explain the problem more in depth? perhaps with a screenshot? When you click the X in the DNS Updater what does it tell you?

  • @CRMVodka, depends what you mean. Are you talking about port forwarding? or like advertising? If port forwarding, then it's in the tutorial all you got to do is give people your DynDNS address and password if there is one. Advertising depends on what you using the TS Server for.

  • @CompuGeekProductions Thanks for the help.

  • One question is that how do i get other ppl to be able to join my teamspeak channel?
