I've been a pvp addict since I got into mmos, I've played so many games and none could keep my pvp interest like Warhammer. It could've been so much, it's a shame EA forced this game out of the way so SWTOR can shine.

EA is known for being greedy as hell. They'll not make WAR F2P until the playerbase is under a certain income, even if the game isn't even worth paying for (unless you play in a clan).

Moreover, maybe the game lacks too much of content or maybe EA/Mythic are just looking how others new F2P (Age of Conan, etc.) are going...

The thing is : WAR looks like a game with too few developers to keep it from receiving real content. Too bad Mythic screwed everything to make a DAOC-like.

The problem with warhammer as i see it is there is a huge gap. limitless trial people on tier 1 and regulars on tier 4. There is no middle. they made the system messed up . people will just aim for tier 4. i like the territorial claim thing with the fortress . but war hammer is dying i want an mmo that can do the territorial claim thing with fortresses but still you know attracks players and keeps them

@Canadianloyalist123 The real flaw is actually in the root of it's design. The whole concept of this Warhammer was to make a good MMO PvP centered game. They did a pretty good job with the PvP, some balance issues with healers and damage dealers but overall not horribly flawed. Then they let the PvE flop. It's way too much of a grind, with almost no real rewards for the work, and MMOs strive on PvE. I did play this. Now did I hate it? No, but it wasn't worth a monthly fee.

despite the fact that this trailer, and basically all other CGI cinematic productions for that matter, is awesome, they really should have launched some sort of ad campaign. WoW hasn't thrived over the years because it's the better game, but because it has a large active player community as a result of constant advertising. I played both games extensively and i would have certainly continued to play Warhammer had the servers maintained a higher population.

Warhammer had nice cinematics, but the game is a pile of crap. Most of the players have left, and practically almost all development has ceased. They're now just fixing bugs, and releasing content that was half finished from years before.

It's true the Rifts are sort of like public quest's exept the rifts happen randomly at random places. The graphics doesn't remind me of WAR in any way though.

And yeah, the interface is pretty much like WoW, one mechanic is you can use a quest item from the side of the screen instead of looking around for it in your bag.
