  • This is a beautiful song, and you played it very well! There aren't many "modern" Christian songs that I like, but I really like this one, having just heard it for the first time here. I want to find the music so I can play it! You're right, it's a great stress reliever. Thank you for sharing it. What kinfd of organ are you playing? It has a very nice tone. By the way, I played the Prayer of St. Francis at my niece's wedding a few years ago on a very nice, newly rebuilt III/72 Casavant.

  • You're welcome, the Organ I am using is a Viscount ( made in Italy ) and I am playing it at my Condo in South Florida. Thank you for visiting - Lance †

  • Thank you Lance for posting this one. I did not think much of this song until I heard you play it so nicely. I have play this for Ash Wed service tomorrow night. Since it is new to our congregation, I may well play it like you did here for a prelude as well.

  • Your welcome - yes I like to play it slowly and with feeling, a nice song and will make a nice prelude for sure † ♫ ♪ ♫

  • Very good my friend!

  • thank you ♫

  • I heard this song before...used to be a fan of Christian music so now I like most music except for jazz and rap. You do a very good job on that organ.

  • Thank you †

  • not a problem man†

  • Great hymn. Brings back some old memories. I like the slow & deliberate way you play it.

  • Am i still alive? Gotta check my pulse.

    This is God given bliss.

The New Earth will sound like this song and this performance. Can't wait to see it.

  • You have a very simple playing style.

Just as in painting, performing on an instrument can be sometimes as or more instructive and communicative in a simple style, than when played with a flourish or in a more complex rendition.

Complexity of performance can detract from the message of the lyrics, or make it difficult for a church congregation to follow.

I like your hymn selection...the lyrics are profound.

  • what is your religon if i may ask? i am christain.

  • I mention it in my Profile, I am Episcoplaian †

  • oh, ok. well good job! i am practicing the keyboard, piano, electric guitar, and clarinet. keep up the good work!
