What I learned from Dead Space: Always wear a helmet! Isaac is the only one who puts on a helmet in the beginning, and he makes it through ok. Coincidence? I don't think so. That's why I wear a helmet every day!

Should I get this game ? Somebody please help me. I SUCK at most shooters, except saints row 3 which I think I was at least decent/good on the hardest difficulty. I am also not a hardcore gamer, but I'm not a casual gamer either, I'm inbetween. I also don't really like playing the story mode levels all over again, because it gets boring, I really like freeroam games. But I still want this game.

@Spinozilla98 i actually just got it and finished it today, and after playing it i would say its a truly fantastic, and if you have a headset, scary game. i never found any of the encounters to be too challenging and as a whole i really got what the game was trying to deliver. i really recommend to play with at least a headset or surround sound though, makes it soo much more enjoyable. all in all, get this game.

yeah a great game definitly, it seems EA had learned the miStakes of Konami (SH) and Capcom (RE) both did, Silent hill (especially SH3) is a lot better , more atmospheric, has greater art work and performance and also way a lot creeper and scarires than Dead space , but I critize SH for the poor combat and gamplay and also the redundant stupid and dumb riddles (like find a key to open the door) which discourge the player to keep up with the game thats only reason why DS owns it in every way

@liameppes If you're really into the atmosphere this game portrays, you'll probably like Dead Space 1 better. In Dead Space 2, Isaac Clarke stops fucking around and turns into a total badass, unlike the victim he is portrayed as in DS1. That's not to say that Dead Space 2 is a bad game, it's fantastic...especially since they added a difficulty swap for New Game + mode. If you can, just get both. This is definitely a classic, though.

I went to EB games today to get a few other games and seeing as dead space is a discontinued game and I have heard alot of good things about it I figured id grab myself a used copy... I got it for $8 plus tax and 2 extra $ for the 1 year warranty. For $11 you can own it... Just go to EB games/GameStop. Plus disks imo are better than downloading from the market place (faster loads w/ disk and even faster downloaded to the harddisk)

Plus the graphics, sound, music, and shooting are all soo much more accesible than any doom game yet.

Dont get me wrong though - im a huge doom fan, but until doom 4 comes out and tops every game on the market, dead space has my vote.

Amnesia is still the scariest game ever made in my opinion. The atmosphere and the soundtrack is just creepy but it doesn't jump scare you, it makes you very paranoid to a point that you will stay in a safe room looking out the cracks of doors even though you know it's safe. Plus it's more realistic, I highly doubt that if you were in a castle with amnesia you would have a weapon, no weapons in the game all you have are your wits and thats what a true horror game is.
