Drop D tunning would help to reach the punchy low D bass line. Just tune the upper string down to D. Also noticed you are doing single notes instead of chords in the verse and chorus. Using the lower strings and upper frets would make it more comfortable to play. Check my version and see what i mean. Your sense of tempo is good enough and the cover is good in general terms.

Tune low E to D. Match 7th fret with the A string, or is it the B string lmao! Just match it with the next string down, like you do on the 5th fret to tune to E.

No worries im starting to get it now, im only on my 5th day of practicing with a guitar, and this has always been one of my fave floyd tunes, so thanks for the lesson :) (btw im not finding it easy by any means lol, i can nail the wish you were here solo, but this is on a different level, probably not a good tune to learn guitar on, but meh i love floyd to much :)
