  • how long would it be till you see results if I did this kind of workout at least every other day? And for a beginner what do you think would be a good dumbbell weight for the workout.

  • Your bicep kind of looks like a golf ball....try Hammers with your dumbbells. You earned my sub i like this workout :)

  • @qualkeck91 Mkk .. watch any armwrestling training video or any gym of a baseball club like me.. you'll see its effective and not worthless

    i started using this dumbbell exercise a couple months ago...i actually thought i'd invented something new!! i started it doing it to strengthen my wrist/forearm for doing pull-ups  :-)

    @qualkeck91 this exercise works a treat if you'd actually try it

  • @AlexCoC3 yea okay for example i never done this so im just starting and my bar is about 1-2 pounds and the lightest weight i have is 2.5 and with one of those its too light but with two it feels better but it hurts my wrist so should i just keep workin with the one 2.5 only?

  • Thanks for vid. Just want to clarify some stuff though. Bruce lee did say forearms are dense to train everyday but he's slightly wrong. Your forearms need recovery as well and they can be overtrained - I injured my wrists from exp. Almost any workout targets your forearms so make sure they get rest. I'll say 3-4 days is good.

  • @dkblade27 yeah I know. it depends if you workout a lot like I do too. In my case I do. grip+forearms= day 1 ......Forearms=day2 .. off day=3.. Grip+forearms= day4 etc...

  • @scorpionrocks15 You're forearms will get stronger and thicker yes. These exercise works all the small muscle in the forearms. watch my other video of forearms workout it is better.

  • Bruce Lee used to do this when he trained his forearms. He trained them everyday. Can I ask, do you train them everyday? What about recovery? Is it really good to train forearms everyday?

  • @martynblackburn1977 Yes I do the same routine of Bruce lee. I train them everyday as much as I can with baseball its hard but... Everyday exept sunday.

  • @kalols2 forearms are small groups of muscles that you can train everyday. If Bruce lee said that I think im right.

  • @AlexCoC3 Hey how long did it take to see results because ive been workoing on them for just on 2 months and NO results Idk what im doing wrong maybe when i lift the chair i dont curl my wrist o the overhand only under because i tap books on the chair so should i do the forearm workout everyday and see results if i curl?

  • @gr1mreaper25 it depends on how many reps and sets you do... When I started I was doing like 3 sets of 15 ... until it burns and stop when you feel that you'll drop it. So make sure you have enough weigh on it to stop at 15 reps or less because if you do like 20 reps and more... you wont build massive forearms. Best of luck

  • I started with 7.5 lb and now im using 15 lbs with three 5lbs plates make it harder because its longer than a 10 lb + 5.

  • ha that is preety cool. I have always done this with a hammer for a more permanmnt setup. with my old hammer i just welded scraps where they would be bulkier

  • hmmm around 7 months !! And let me tell you now my forearms are hard as hell... everywhere ! ; ) I do this everyday like 3 x15 each exercises

  • In my case yes because I do alot of exercise with it and the handle hurts my hand. And the " Hockey sox" also works the grip at the same times
