ffx-2, ffxii and ffxiii were all good games in my opinion. ffx-2 had a bad story and was odd, but it had thousands of minigames and made fun. ffxii's story wasn't bad at all. you just had to think about it and it had so much amazing freedom and interesting and nice places around ivalice. at last ffxiii had awesome graphics (nobody can deny it) and yes it was linear but it was fun and had extreme good gameplay!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've never played through FFIX. I keep wanting to, and I actually bought the game, but I just keep loosing interest. Which is a shame, because I hear it's very good.

Personally, I think that FFX2 marks the point of no-return for Square(Soft/Enix). Whilst it wasn't as horrible as most people say (It IS horrible, but not THAT much), I think it's the point when they realized "Hey, we can make bad games and people will buy them becuase we made good games way back in the NES, SNES and PSX eras."

In before this comment gets thumbs-downed like crazy, but I actually found FFXIII to be pretty good. Not as good as some of the earlier games, mind you, but as a game it wasn't terrible. I mean, if you want terrible... no, not even X-2. FF7: Dirge of Cerberus. Now -that- is shit on a silver platter. X-2 is pretty bad, but Dirge of Cerberus just takes the cake there. Tried way too hard to be a DMC clone and ruined FF7's fairly good reputation in the process. Good job, SquareEnix. Good job.

Final Fantasy 13 was a horrible game, the storyline wasn't very good, nor the gameplay, the battle system wasn't honestly too bad, the auto-battle feature was a pile of shit, but Final fantasy 13 really didn't seem like a final fantasy for me, It seemed like a usual japanese-rpg but with fancy graphics, it bored the shit out of me.

i dont undestand why everyone hated FFXIII so much. I mean sure, it could've been way better, and was extremely linear, but I still had some good times playing it. The battle music was beautiful imo, and i thought LIghtning was a good main protaganist. I thought XII and X-2 were worse than XIII, XII being the worst i've played. But still, Final Fantasy's Final Fantasy, all masterpieces in their own ways.

Funnily in the tunes at the start you note FF9 was supposed to be like FF1 to 6, not like ff7, 8, 10 and such. FF9 wasn't a new game, it was a tribute. A last gift from Squaresoft to the loyal fans, a farewell.

Theme for 11 used here is when you are solo, theres many more battle themes in 11 depending what region you are in and in pvp if you are winning or losing. Kinda dislike the solo theme since i hear it alot x.x though -3 9's theme

The battle theme in XI was one of the very few good pieces of music in that game.

Oh wow, listening to them all together it struck me just how... not only different, but just plain WEIRD the X-2 one is, but it really seems to fit the game when I'm playing it!
