Plus, YOU CAN'T HYDROPLANE on slick tires. When it rains, the tires are already skinny to cut through the water. Whether it is slick, or tread. Treads don't prevent you from a slippery road. Neither does slicks. Slicks perform a lot better in dry conditions.

It's pretty much common sense. The higher you pump it = the less surface contact = less rolling resistance you have. And that is why the tires on road bikes are skinny.....
Plus, you don't loose alot of control depending on weather conditions. If it's rain, drop your PSI about 10. And just don't lean so aggressively on turns....
