@McClaren15 Age of Empires is a Reat-Time Strategy game, meaning you build your colony and fight wars all at the same time. It's much smaller in scope, and prefers a lot of micro-management over macro-management seen in Empire.

Empire is Real-Time Tactics / Turn based, meaning that you manage your empire on a turn-based Map, and fight battles in tactical fights with a set no. of troops.

I have both, and they both rock, but if your PC can handle it i'd say Empire would be better overall :)

I personally like Medieval II: Total War's gameplay better. The things that Empire has are naval battles and useful light infantry... that's about it :/

Empire, as we all know, is not a game to play inbetween things in some spare 10 mins..

anyway: although it takes its time, the quality of the gameplay, graphics and similar more than make up for it.

also: Its not the cpu that makes the computer.. try upgrading the ram.. makes a world of difference.. a quad core processor is also a good move..
