its pretty cool how they can make models of huge ships like this with this kind of detail
i was planning on buying this...but $200 CND, even though I can see it being worth all that because of the high level of detail...but honestly won't spend $200 on it
but I am still going to continue to build car, tank, plane models by Tamiya...just a nice relaxing hobby anyone agree?
i built a 1:350 scale USS Nimitz class model too in 2004. using match stick, card boards and water color paint. but the navy aircrafts are also from Tamiya set with the same scale. no video of it but i do still have the photos.
CapLagos do you build for a living? This must be more than just a hobby.I imagine the hours invested in a build such as the Enterprise are many leaving little time for a regular 9 to 5 job and lifes daily needs to be taken care of.Your craftmanship is superb and I imagine that you dont spit out that kind of work in a short period of time.
were did you get the stickers like the big E mark and the name one the tower "USS ENTERPRISE CVN65" markings?, and the stickers to the jets, the squadron marikngs for them?
I like your kind of model, its more detailed as far as aircraft, personnel on deck, decals, and railings attached, except for that tiny white circles on the flight deck where aircraft harness is attached which was not painted. Five stars anyway, yours is better than mine.
I was only halfway through my enlistment in the Marines and that is no environment to have such a model with drunk Jarheads running around. I built some of it, packed it up and will one day finish it when I have a house to safely display it.
I saw this model in "Military model" magazine..........it had been entered in a model competition. Its a whopper!! So........what are Tamiya models like in general?
Very Good!! Taking a short break from YouTube for a couple of days now.. but I'll be back!! Why am I not surprised to see Tomcats onboard that carrier.. :)
