which your video files 720p or 1080p ?

@ballmdr Samsung only support 720p recording and playback. "How to train your dragon" demo in the video is a 720p file, play as HD on my SGS, but output is only SD.

Good news is SGSII support 1080 playback on the mobile itself, but can't confirm the output if they support 1080p to the TV

@dricaboy12 There are few Launcher support landscape mode, LauncherPro, TouchWizGTG Launcher, etc.

Default TouchWiz Launcher doesn't support that. So you need to install new launcher in order to have that feature.

@royngan9 I have 2 LCDs and a regular tv and they just didn't get the signal... The easiest way to explain the exact image I get, is when you try to watch a codificated channel on your tv. and the nokia cables work flawlessly on my N82! I just hope the problem is not my SGS! :/

@royngan9 Thanks for the reply! I meant how did you got the wallpaper set? Because I downloaded myselft the Iphone 4 wallpaper that you have in this video and when set as desktop from gallery it only lets you set a SELECTION of it.

And taking in consideration that the wallpaper is only 800x960, the selection that was set from gallery looks real ugly and pixelated. Is there any other app that lets you set the whole image file as desktop wallpaper with some fit/stretch adjustments?

I have a Vibrant, and my old trusty N-95. I tried connecting the Vibrant to my HDTV via Nokia's cables, and no luck...

I have the TV-Out enabled in the settings, and I am on stock firmware.

@lqaddict Vibrant should have the same hardware as SGS. May I know what Nokia Cable you are using? It should the name on the cable.

US using a different TV system, do you know which system your TV is using? PAL? NTSC?

Just ensure you check and get the right TV output setting under

Settings > Sound and Display > TV Out

@royngan9 Cool thanks. It seems it's limited to sd video. To output 720p video on external LCD we'll need the official samsung microUSB to HDMI cable. (Product ID: ECC1HU0BBEBSTD)
