Got Leos on my 09 R1, I'm about to buy the Y-Pipe, did you feel any differnces in Power with the Akra Y-Pipe?

I rode my 09 around one night with the y pipe open and it was crazy loud. However I did get a lot of complements on how mean it sounded.

When you put the Y pipe on did you have to change anything on the bike like o2 sensors or anything or was it just take the cat off and put the pipe in its place? I already have the slip ons but had to save up some more cash to get that expensive ass Y pipe

Awesome sound for a awesome bike, R1 with crossplane engine is kicking ass out there, power is ridiculous. No need for power commander with slippons

I just got a 2010 and i dont know that much about power commanders.. Did u have to install a power commander for your settings? and if u didn't what would happen?

@munadi78 yeah we bought the power commander but haven't had a chance to install it yet. basically the power commander helps remap the fuel injection system.

the noticeable different to me is that without the Power commander fuel are wasted more, which means you could save about 10-20 L of gas if it is mapped correctly

@munadi78 yes Indeed the crossplane crankshaft is a beast.

Unfortunately we didn't try stock with cat converter removed, I'm pretty sure it would sound louder especially if you remove the baffle as well from the stock :)
