Brilliant show. It takes great writing and great acting to make the completely unbelievable totally believable. Strange how the ghosts appear more real and have more character than the normal people sleepwalking through their mundane lives.
@ashtonsgirlh that was a really popular magazine in Britain until the 80s. Reference to this magazine is also made in James Joyce's Ulysses, George Orwell's Animal Farm, James Hilton's Lost Horizon, Virginia Woolf's Moments of Being, and H. G. Wells' The First Men in the Moon.
I loved this when I was a kid.Later on when Meekers Wife shows up and the Pantomine Horse follows her around everywhere is funny as fuck. Also that magic medallion which the next Door neighbours have, where everything they say comes true is like Monty Python.I liked the one where it makes Mrs Meeker run around and around in circles for no reason.I would like a good drink with the
@flanneryged - so glad you love it! The creator and writer, Bob Block, happens to be my Dad, so I'll pass your good wishes on to him! If you're interested, please see all about his amazing career at his website - bob-block-scriptwriter.co.uk
@Trishbiker Oh yes please tell him I think it was a slapstick show of "Genius" sometimes.Like the episode provided, were Mr Meeker unwittingly gets his Head
trapped inside the Bird Cage!!!!.When he is on the Phone trying to describe his dilema it's utterly hillarious. Also when the next Door Neighbours had the "Amulet"
which was bewitched, and everything they said happened to poor long suffering Mrs Meeker. This show was utter class,Take Care *Ged*
@flanneryged I was also a massive fan of "Roberts Robots" this was a brilliant and
very very funny series. From the bungling K.T. Katie (aka) the big silver bloke, right
through to the beautiful but fairly stupid Desire.I could not understand why this was
not on far more often. As a matter of fact when I am with my older Brother we often talk about the old kids programes and your Fathers are "ALWAYS" at the very top
of the list.I also love the web-site.your Fathers a legend.
Thanks for the upload they dont make them like this anymore. I didnt see any of the early episodes more the later ones its a bit strange to watch it now so many years later.

When Davenport says "I'm here", on the train, he sounds just like John Inman.
