Only thing that made me not so cool was that he turned into Matt Smith in less than a second, other than that, this was a pretty epic and moving scene.
its not fair...David is the best Doctor ever...but still... We have to understand David's reason to leave the show..We will always remember how brilliant, how gorgeous he was, and let's thank him for all the joy he gave us :)
its really the first time they've presented regeneration as 'death' other times its been a change but this was different...totally moving, loved David, still love smith though.
@milkeyUK i actually have seen the new series and i was very disapointed with what i saw. Was the worst series yet, dnt get me wrong matt smith isnt aweful he just isnt david tenant level, but the series failure isnt really his fault, i blame the new script writers i dnt knw what the fuc they where smokin but it resulted in BS stories and the new assistent aint that gr8 either =/ personaly they should retire Docotor who for few years have a break and come back with fresh ideas, harsh but true.
@leesathepunkin There's no backstory to it, really ... it's just that, in his final stories, the Tenth Doctor was aware that his death was coming but didn't want to die just yet. He felt he had so much more to do and see, and even in his last minutes he wasn't prepared to go.
As for that awesome "Eleventh Hour" scene, try searching YouTube for "hello i'm the doctor".
im sorry i just started watching dr who and haven't seen this episode can someone explain why he says he doesn't want to go? maybe a little back story?
also
anyone know where you can find a clip of the part in the eleventh hour where the doctor goes through the cloud of all the doctors? i want to show my dad and i cant find it anywhere
I'm inexplicably glad this clip ends here. I know it's traditional Who style regeneration, and regular series end style, but 11's silliness felt inappropriate wih all the lead up to the regeneration. There's plenty of time for silliness in s5.
When I watched this part for the first time I cried. Just the way he said 'I don't want to go' and then teared up really got me going. Damn, I didn't want to see him leave as the Doctor.
If he had taken Captain Jack with him to fight the master - Jack could have gone into the booth and absorbed the radiation. Bet the Doctor was mentally kicking himself!
@Marissa5assiraM maybe because its different types of radiation...and this radiations alot more deadly than the stuff they played with in the nursery..?

@mikefrid they can keep it going...in The 5 Doctors, the Time Lords offered The Master a whole new set of regenerations if he helped them.

the new guy looks kinda gross :\

Good lord, there's more to this character than the way he looks, David was fantastic because of his acting, not because of his looks.

I'm loving the look of 11, but I do have to agree there.
LeonSKennedy828 2 years ago
well, it's because hes going through post regeneration trauma, hes probably all dazed and confused, i mean he DID just die =)

@Marissa5assiraM I guessing this was WAY more, or possibly a different kind of radiation?

Because Russel T. Davies is a terrible writer.

This was critical radiation and he was already worse for wear. Thats what the writers would probably say anyway, but I totally agree with you
