@CampBreezyBeach AMEN!!!!! oh,you tube, old wounds re-visited!! I remember Ralph Black ,he was lucky to get out of Wichita alive after this pitiful disgrace!! Watch "the bird" in Wings/Minnesota history(85'?) run away on WWpt2!!
You just made my decade! I worked for the Wings back then and have often wished I had some sort of film memorabilia from that time. Now I can watch this and at least see glimpses of the guys I used to see all the time. Thanks!
hey that guy smith yea he is my dad he messed him up lol i dont even know who put this on lol but my dad smith and black guy that fought they are like friends now lol yea my dad played for 15 years of pro soccer i was good
Ralph is a winner. Have you heard about the team he brought to the State Championship? Because of what he did in the past, he is a better person today. Go Ralph!!
My co-worker said that he is Brad Smith's Father-in-law. And also noted that he is indeed bald! He lives in Wichita and said Brad and his daughter live out in CA.
Brings to mind the fight Omar Gomez of the Wings started against Steve Pecher of the Steamers in the '83 playoffs. While Pecher wasn't the cleanest player in the league, Gomez was a complete goon. Black was always my second favorite player, right behind Rudy Glenn of the Sting. EXCELLENT CLIP!!!!!
This was typical of how the Wichita Wings were not only against the Tacoma Stars and the elite MISL teams of their day (Kansas City, St. Louis, etc.), but against the partially biased referees that were dead set against a small-market team (the Wings) winning an MISL title. Well, the refs got their wish in 2001 when the Wings franchise folded after 22 seasons, with only two division titles and NO appearances in any league final. Refs, I hope you're happy--your day is coming with Jesus!

How many red cards has he "earned" as a coach? I feel sorry for you. If he coaches like he "fights" then you must not be learning much.
