  • totaly not fake at all -_-

  • what did they blow up?

  • yeah I wasn't even fooled a little bit, first time I watched this video I knew it was just a joke... I mean jesus christ, if there are people that are that fucking dumb to blow up the wrong building....wow lol

  • fake, but made me giggle. I wish the ruby tuesdays DID blow up, I fucking hate the whole company ever since I worked for them.

  • Ditto, (still do work for em)

  • piece shit

  • wtf lol that was so fake

  • so fake,,people in the other building would have been killed, and it would be world wide news...

  • All a waste of money. Good job Kim

  • Guerilla marketers, please die. Thanks, The Internet

  • FUCK. GUERILLA. MARKETERS.

  • lmao... rofl :D

  • Its fake. It was all a skit.

  • Thanks for ruining the gag and putting it in the title that they blew up the wrong building.

  • ^ THERE IS A VIDEO RESPONSE SHOWING HOW FAKE IT IS! lol.

  • i dont think its fake..they have apology videos shown on commercials

  • Wait, this is fake. Sorry if im beating a dead horse. The audio is changed, the little buzzing of the camera is just a quick earthquake and what idiot would just stop filming at the best part of the whole mess? Kinda fake. Oh. and the building is all fake to, looks pixar-y.

  • It's, um, fake. I think or real. I saw apology commercials. Unless those were fake, too, to advertise it's fake falling.

  • It was a scale model; not cgi, but yeah, it was a publicity stunt.

  • was that for real?

  • Viral Marketing Video?

  • lol

  • dumb.

  • stupid.....................

  • I love how your getting so mad at people yelling about something you don't know about. You don't work for the restraunt do you?

you don't know anything oher than whats in this video so just shut up and get on with your life. and its spelled MORON not MORIN

  • you're retarded...because it's all part of the marketing scheme they came up with...if the CEO apologizes then even more idiots like you think it's real and they all talk about it...aka free advertising

  • I heard about it on the news. It's fake. THey did it on purpose. DUrrrr.

  • it was unsopable

  • Yeah, that commercial you saw apologizing: fake.

    Restaurant blowing up: fake.

    Website for "Cheeky's": fake.

This video? FAKE. Video shot on site, notice how it shakes and then is edited to the shot of the model blowing up from the webcast.

All a stunt to get publicity for Ruby Tuesday's. Never was such a restraurant. It was a model. You people are such suckers.

  • maybe real but it was staged

  • This was nothing but an ad campaign, to generate hype...

  • Yeah haha, i saw the CEO apologizing on tv, so i guess it was real. Thats funny as hell though

  • no...its not real

  • it blew up wrong

  • The implosion was a miniature done by a Hollywood special effects crew, then edited into the footage of the webcast to make it look like an accident

  • I just read this on Wikipedia lol. Copier! Oh well Thumbs on on the fact anyway.

  • wen i saw the commercial i kinda thought it was fake but this shit is real hahahahahaha

  • Viral marketing

  • Ya seriously is real because I just saw commerical and it was Ruby Tuesday's apoligizing for blowing up the wrong building

  • is that real?

  • how could someone think this was real? they accidentally rigged the wrong building full of explosives? they accidentally had this approved by the city? it's the middle of the day! People would be eating in the other restaurant if this was real!! This is so stupid.

  • haha, i work at a ruby tuesdays, and i know for the past few weeks before this, they were advertising the hell out of it. they did recently redo all the stores in the past year or so, so i believed it to be legit.

to bad, i was looking forward to a ruby tuesdays blowing up :)

  • Lol I live near that. btw if you can see theres a Pizza Hut, Wendy's, Long John Silver's, and a Hardies on the right side

  • Oh, dang...lol. Fake, but, lol.

  • fail D:

  • gee that was a waste of my life.

  • runy tuesday recently put a video on their site showing how they faked this. they made a model of "cheekys" and blew it up with a green screen behind it.

  • For all of you gullible simpletons who think this is real, have you heard of Snopes?? Maybe you should book mark it! Not to mention the preparation and laws surrounding explosives demolition would make even the idea of someone blowing up a wrong building preposterous!!

  • Haha this IS fake. Anyone who thinks it's real, think again. Ruby Tuesday's has a video on their website showing how all of it was fake.

  • This IS fake. This is the ultimate way to generate publicity for a chain that was falling behind the others. The CEO apologized on TV you say? Could it be more publicity? Don't you think this would have made CNN or a monster lawsuit would be filed. And what food place it going to let demolition workers wire up the place? There is no possible way it's real. If your "friend" was there, they were in on the hoax. Congrats to Ruby Tuesdays on a great marketing ploy, it worked!

  • Its amazing that this is real-O.O!

  • its amazing your brain is the size of a pea and if your being saracastic than woosh.

  • I already saw the "how it was made" clip...lol

  • this isnt fake. the CEO of ruby tuesday apologized for his mistake on LIVE national tv. so people who don't believe this is real, well, watch more tv. this did happen the people they hired to blow up their old resturant screwed up BADLY and placed the explosives in the wrong resturant and... took down that one insted. this did happen and it was all an accident.

  • it's weak-minded people like you who keep all the big corporations rich...you'll fall for any marketing scheme they come up with

  • wow chill out dude

  • It's called capitalism. Cash in on it pal.

  • Viral marketing people. Fake fake fake

  • the man apologized for it on tv

  • wow. all of you who believe this was real, i think y'all need to go get some common sense. geez. it's just marketing.

  • who would actually believe they blew up the wrong building?

  • Yes it was fake the "live" web cast was not live and a special effects crew made it look like it blew up Cheekys.

  • Yeah, they tell you how they did it on their web site. Pretty funny stuff.

  • the first time i saw the commericial i thought it was real then after i saw it a couple times i relized it would be impossible to do it accidently and no one geting hurt

  • same here

  • Here is what really happened. There was no restaurant blown up. There was a minature model blown up with a green screen in the background. The people on set were all actors. It was a stunt to show that all bar and grill restaurants are so similar that even the people that were supposed to blow it up could not tell the difference

  • it wasn't to show the similarities. it was to expand on the restaurants new logo and brand name.

  • here think of it this way, if it were real, it'd be on the news by now. it's real it's a stunt and a way to advedrtise the restaurant.

  • Here is what happened. There was a model of the other restaurant bulit with a green screen in the background. That was blow up and the rest was trick camerawork. No building really existed. Everyone on set were actors.

  • Its not real! They filmed this commercial in Harriman, TN. They built the fake restaurant in the parking lot of the real Ruby Tuesday. There is a restaurant down a little ways but its a Los Primos.

  • it was a stunt obviously

  • how could a person bomb the wrong place?

    must have been real stupid.lolz

  • this isnt real is it

  • Well...I believed it and so did my wife....I guess were idiots....lol...........

  • you would have to be stupid to believe this is real.

  • i just say the commercial for that and when i saw it i was like 'thats not real' and now i don't know wat 2 believe

  • When I first saw the commercail appologizing for blowing up chiki's bart and grill I said out loud, "Are you shittin me?Really?".I then proceeded to laugh out loud.I'm not sure but I think it might be real.Don't say "it's not real!".Prove it, because there are a lot of pricks out there who will say anything for attention or think they know something but don't.Let's just ask them, ruby tuesday that is.

  • How could these people buy ownership of Cheeky's, evacuate anyone inside of it, set explosives, and demolish it ACCIDENTALLY?

  • did they buy it evacuate everyone?Because setting explosives in the wrong place is very possible.

  • Its a marketing scheme, they didn't blow up a real resturant. Before anyone says "Its real! Look it up!" I did, but I didn't stop with google. I dug deep, its was registered by Cheeky's Inc. Funny thing that, the company doesn't exist.

  • How could it be real if there was never a Ruby Tuesday's in the town mentioned? Kind of makes you think, doesn't it...

  • i saw that commercial a few min. ago.

thats funny how stupid they r.

  • They didn't blow up anything except a scale model.

  • u guys realize that ruby tuesday made a new commercial apologizing to the resturaunt on national tv right? it has been airing every several hours for the past 3 days...seems like a lot of trouble to go through if it was fake lol

  • they did? i neva saw the commercial

  • ive been seeing it for the past couple days... ive seen it like 5 times so far. i kept saying to myself wtf? are u serious? i gotta look that up to see if its for real. i finally did cuz i kept forgetting to before.

  • It's a commercial for publicity obviously it worked. THIS IS FAKE... there is no resteraunt called cheeky's and there's no possible way that would happen by mistake. If it did people eating in cheekys would be dead and must have not noticed demolition men wiring explosives in there building come on people

  • its real. i saw a commercial with ruby tuesday apologizing. i still don't get why they blew up all of them.

  • this is fake ppl chill noticea few thing umm duh all the ppl witht his have only this and have regesterd recently it not rela marekting chill pluse a lawsute and hwo dum owuld u bee to not notice your putting a bomb in a wrong building

  • hey, how are ya? I was just letting you know, nobody can understand you when you can't spell words like 'Be'. you made good points, but they would have been much more effective if, say, you'd written them in English.

  • If it's not real then why does cheekysbarandgrill web site talk about it?

Looks like the one they destroy to me

  • It was fake, on their website they have a behind the scenes video!

  • Not only is it fake, it doesn't even look real. It looks like it's made out of popsicle sticks and paper mache. If this fooled anyone, you are an idiot.

  • thank you<3

  • i saw a commercial of that on tv, saying there sorry for blowin up the rong resteraunt. i hope it was real

  • its not real haha. its a marketing thing w/ a bunch of sarcasm because ive really never heard of ruby tuesday untill this and it makes you interested to see what all the buzz is all about.

  • I dont care if its real or not, still fucking hilarious.

  • it's real lol I was there. no one was in new building the opening was in a few days.

  • they've been showing public apologies to the restaurant they blew up, but i still think it's fake.

  • duh

  • why didnt they keep it ?

  • I think that fellow tricked you...

  • it was real. my friend was there.

  • too bad its fake..

  • Wanna Here somthing funny, There is No Ruby Tusdays in Mount Holly, Ohio.

  • haha if that was real, it would have been fing priceless

  • it is real. it was broadcasted live on their rubytuesday website

  • They should have blown up all those actors pretending to be people at the demolition. Not that people ate at Ruby Tuesday before this epic fail of a publicity stunt but they sure as heck aren't going to eat their now. FAIL

  • cheekys is a real restaurant and the vp of ruby tuesday went on television apologizing to cheekys for the incident its fucking real

  • just found a cheekysbarandgrill web site

looks like the one they blew up to me

  • THE REAL DEAL. Both buildings are ruby tuesdays. The one on left is the old restaurant and the one on the right is the new one. They just put a sign on it saying cheekys. If you are that dumb and think that people didnt realize the wrong building being wired and so on then you shouldnt be allowed to live.

  • IT is real. There was a commercial apology, and there is going to be a huge lawsuit. It was Cheeky's Bar and Grill.

  • urgh. no go to ruby tuesdays site which has an apology letter and video, and cheeky's bar and grill's website.

  • @AVBPKP: shadyzz is exactly right. Very educated people plan out these types of things. They check them several times before demo. They clear the building, etc. So WHY are you under the impression that professionals carrying out a highly dangerous procedure (one requiring numerous permits and government supervision)would have mistook the building, walked into a building that did not say Ruby Tuesday's, plant dynamite in it, clear it, double-check, and then demolish it and blow up the wrong one?

  • It wasn't organized by Ruby Tuesday's. It was organized by highschool dropout construction worker's. Many franchises before they go big have different names. A@W is actually Sonic with a different name. They assumed that Ruby Tuesday's was a new restauraunt built as a replacement and Cheeky's was their first restaurant. This was on live tv, I was going to watch it, but I forgot about it. (Translation: Family Guy was on)

  • you guys are friggin idiots! this is a viral video, they INTENTIONALLY blew up that other building, it gets attention to do something like this. Think about it you monkeys, they don't BLOW UP small buildings like this, they just bulldozer them down. When have you EVER seen a tiny-ass building get demo'd with dynamite?? NEVER!

Those who even believed this was real are MORONS, shoot yourselves now, please!

  • You say they blew up the wrong building for attention right? And you also said they would bulldover it not implode itright? maybe the imploding idea was just for the entertainment purposes and it was a mistake. You are the moron my friend, going on the internet to try to prove something YOU know nothing about.

  • go to ruby tuesday's website, it has an apology letter.

  • Ok, I assure you, it is not a big thing, and many of us have. We are the idiots? Is your caps lock button broken, because it appears to be switching on and off dumbass.

    - a10712851 BITCH!

  • yeah i saw it on tv too but i seriously have to believe it's nothing but a publicity stunt.

  • i just saw this on a commercial and i was like is that real?? dude thats kinda funny.

  • that was an EPIC FAILURE what kind of idiot blows up the wrong restaurant. they are lucky that no one was in that restaurant

  • haha Cheekys bar and grille is a fake resuraunt they built to purposelt blow up. So you can say they purposely made a mistake, to create buzz or word of mouth. its a brilliant idea.

  • No! This video is not fake. I also saw the apology commercial just now and had to come to youtube to see if it was for real. So effin funny!!

  • ok if you have no idea the whole situation is fake before you watch the video, it's really funny! lol

  • Using communities like this one for free advertising is actually pretty ingenious. They upload a fake video, a few people see it and tell their friends, they tell their friends, and so on. Before long, they've used word of mouth to spread their product.

Its free, this way they don't have to pay a bunch of expensive networks for advertising.

They used you guys for publicity.... and you fell for it. Nice job idiots. But they weren't very successful... they only got about 5,200 views or so.

  • lmfao!!!

    dumbasses.

i just saw the commercial appology.

i had to make sure it was true.

    HA!

  • i saw the apolegie i had to search it and i wasnt desapointed :)

  • this is the dumbest marketing stunt ever. plan a fake explosion, then apologize for the mistake. couldn't be any cornier, or bigger letdown. the original idea to blow up an old Ruby Tuesday was funny. what they did was dumb. and to make it worse, the countdown clock on my computer was wrong. it didn't adjust itself for central time so I sat for an extra hour to see the explosion... only to have it be a huge letdown. i hope the new stores aren't as big a letdown for the old folks that go.

  • Its clever...you got your explosion be happy. Sad that you sat waiting for an hour but hey, I'm not trying to be judgmental.

  • The Ruby Tuesday CEO is in on the act. It is all for advertising purposes to show that we are no longer going to be mistaken for Casual Dining. Just trust me, at my location we were advertising this demolition for a month- its all for publicity.

  • I work at Ruby Tuesday- its all a hoax. At our restaurant in New York we were advertising this live demolation of the last "old Ruby Tuesday" to show our "committment to change". But as a "joke" the construction workers mistook a casual diner for Ruby Tuesday. By that being blown up, Ruby Tuesday will never be mistaken for a casual diner ever again... that is what it means. haha. We all think its ridiculous- but it is NOT REAL. Take if from me, I work there. ;]

  • I call bullshi--.

This video failed to be funny or hilarious.

  • Because even if it was fake they would still want to continue with this Marketing plan. Who knows if its fake or not

  • thats in harriman tennessee because i live by there and i watched it

  • Fake.

    Cheezy. Fake and cheezy.

1: There's no such chain as "Cheeky's Bar & Grill."

2: There's no Ruby Tuesday in Mount Holly, Ohio, where this ostensibly took place.

3: You work for Ruby Tuesdays or its advertising agency.

    4: That's lame.

  • 1. yes there is.

    2. yes there is.

    3. i highly doubt that.

    4. i thought it was funny.

  • OK, hot shot - get on google and find me the phone number for Cheeky's Bar and Grill in Mount Holly, Ohio.

I'll be here when you get back.

  • Hot Shot, Cheeky's Bar and Grill doesn't exist period. This wasn't even made in Ohio, as there is no Ruby Tuesday in Mount Holly. This was made in the parking lot of an old Ruby Tuesday in Tennessee- the restaurant was a prop. None of it is real.

  • Uh... that was a reply to someone else, chief. Namely, the guy who was all YEAH THIS IS TOTALLY REAL who is presumably either employed by RT's advertising agency or an unsuccessful troll.

The point is that you'll *never* find a phone number for the place because it only exists in Imaginationland.

  • No reason to take it so seriously, friend. Its just advertising. Move on.

  • that seems like a big waste of money making a whole other building just to blow up

  • Joined: August 05, 2008

    I c wut u did thar

  • DGib101 i was there and it was a real Cheeky's restaurant that got blown up it wasnt fake and it was in ohio u moron you are real dumb...

The demolition people set the explosives up there on accident they got the wrong place and its 100% real

  • Anyone could say this easily on the internet.

  • Yeah, you can so tell that the building they blew up was a fake. Just look how the sign on the front of the building fell. I have to say, it did get some people's attention, but will it help its sales, which are so bad right now for sit down places? Hard to say...

  • Ok im gonna clear everything up with this. This was shot a few weeks ago. How do I know Because i coultn't get through the area hardly with all the people there. It happened in harriman, tn not in ohio. and nothing was blown up. The restraunt on that side of ruby tuesdays is a mexican place called los primos. It was a hoax and people who think it really happend are idiots.

  • well obviously, it was a fake, if it were around lunchtime and it were a real restaurant they were blowing up, there'd've many mexicans fleeing from the wreckage; now that would've been great tv viewing... i just had to post that comment again... "run-run-andele-andele!!" and in addition, i should rag on all the white people who bought the stunt or were "terrified" by such a publicity event...

  • i think it was just a marketing ploy. Cheeky's restaurant looks just like Ruby Tuesday except green.

  • What dumbfuck mistake could that have been.

    Epic Phail.

  • Good gimmick Ruby's. You got my attention I was watching online today, but after the stunt I knew it was fake. But never the less,I hope your new concept works.

  • it was planned people...

the joke is old ruby tuesday looked like a "generic" casual dining place..and the demo team mistakes it for the charlies next door

then ruby tuesday apologizes and makes sure nobody will mistake them for just any casual dining ever again...

    thats it check the site

  • Idiots lmao, Ruby Tuesday is being sued, look on their website, lol

  • GOOD JOB CHARLIE

  • LMAO dude this was live on telibison, no CGI :P

  • crappy job on the cgi

  • Idiot.

  • well, the ploy is obviously working based on reviewing most of the comments. haha. :D

  • well obviously, it was a fake, if it were around lunchtime and it were a real restaurant they were blowing up, there'd've many mexicans fleeing from the wreckage; now that would've been great tv viewing...

  • Ugh. You people on YouTube are so damn stupid...

    Note: They didn't screw up.

  • hah i saw this i cant belive that they did that lmFAO

  • They put a sign that said CHEEKYS on the old ruby tuesdays..

  • ROTFLMFAO

  • There's no way that was real. No dumbass could walk into a restauraunt that didn't say RUby tuesday and plant all the explosives. No idiot manager (no matter how incompetant), who is required to survey the entire thing, would forget that's not his restauraunt >.>...

  • Stealth marketing is something else. Entertaining...yes.

  • ok look this so called accident is faked it was planned. anyone who has this video on youtube has it on an acount that was just started today. which was also the day of the explosion. wich i think means that ruby tueday had people videotape it and put it on youtube to make it seem real. its all a marketing plot for publicity.

  • OMG ROFLMFAO this us gunna be all over the news. Did they ever end up showing it live? I couldn't find where to see it.

  • LMFAO!!!!!!!!!

  • W0w i dont bielieve it one question HOW? there sued big time

  • it was a marketing strategy..now its all over the news, now people will go to ruby tuesday..

  • I heard it was a prank. But I'm not sure.

  • I don't believe this was an accident, I think they did this for publicity! Since now all news channels are going to talk about this incident, which will make RubyTuesday the talk of the town for the next couple of day!

  • omggg this video didnt work for me on the website it still dosnt work i was waiting there for 50 minutes lol

  • this everywhere, what up?

  • i seen this as soon as it happened on their website...woot!!!! 1st person to comment W00T
