I loved the sound of these girls when they were young. But they are just a little too hokey for me, now that they have grown up. The stuff they did for "O Brother" was so sincere and precious. It fit the tone of the movie perfectly. I see from the comments that a lot of people are still fans from those days. More power to them and to the three Peasall girls. It was a great movie & the singing and other music was great. Joy to you all!
You girls sing beautiful!, That is your gift from God. Your songs bring me happiness and harmony. I dearly hope your sing more songs to bring happiness to others.
The Peasall Sisters never fail to bring tears of joy to me every time I hear them sing. And even though I never met them, I have been blessed to watch them grow up and have even been able to share their wonderful Christian music with many others. Their parents deserve a lot of credit for the Godly Christian upbringing they received. The Peasall children were all homeschooled and brought up in the admonition of the Lord. It shows clearly in every song they sing. They're a testimony for God.
What a delightful treat it was to find this wonderful rendition of the classic song from the hit movie O Brother Where Art Thou starring, of course, George Clooney
Listen while you can, folks. These angels will officially STOP SINGING the end of May 2011. They are quitting because they want to get married and have families of their own. Can't blame them but WE SHALL MISS THEM! Hope they will never stop singing together entirely, as it is a ministry unto the Lord Jesus, His Church and the unsaved millions in the world. God Bless Sarah, Hannah & Leah Peasall, (and Daddy Peasall, who you see right behind his girls in every performance).
@GooglFascists <They should keep going though; after all; they have done this since they were little.. & seeing them stop singing is like a drop of a needle in a haystack.. They shouldn't stop on the count of them getting married & have a family of their own; maybe taking a break for awhile; perhaps; yes.. But them to stop entirely; I dont see it happening; becuzz that is their calling from God himself even... They need to keep going...
These girls are a real treat to listen to. However, the best cover of this song that I've ever heard is by Jeff and Sherry Easter on Gaither's "Keep on the sunnyside" on this site. Try it. I think you'll really enjoy it.
I love how you girls sound together! Beautiful since day one! The only thing I would say about this song in particular is that I really like the "old fashioned" way they did it in the Oh Brother soundtrack with the "Boom-Chuck" strum pattern...if that makes any sense.
The voices and harmony are wonderful, as usual, but the guitar sounds choppy and intrusive. I would like to hear the sisters remake this song with more refined instrumentation.
There you have found their point of weakness, but there's more to be refined in fact. They really should go for professional aid/study/teachers or whatever it takes to strengthen their already proofed talent(s).
it doesn't even sound like the peasall sisters. all the other stuff i've heard by them sounds so much more..."refined" i guess. the harmony is there, but the individual voices just don't sound top notch like usual. i'm actually contemplating whether or not it truly is the peasall sisters....hmmmmmmm

This is the very best cover of "Keep on the Sunny Side" that I've ever heard. I actually like it better than the original.

The "original"? You have a recording of Ada Blenkhorn's 1899 original? Wow.

I figured it was them from when they were younger but it still doesnt sound as well as say, their version of Farther Along, Gaither.

Normally I really like your sound, but here I find the guitar too "stompy". Just an opinion, I'm sure others will disagree.
