  • If they activated multitouch, you can type very fast. This may not be the case here, but its needed for fast typing.

  • TRY GETTING AN APP TO CLOSE PROGRAMS. I've found when all the tasks are running I can't type fast. If I close all then I can type fast.

  • Motorola and Verizon are working on a big software update to come in December. My guess is a lot of this issues will be worked out. With that said I have not had any real big issues with my Droid. I love the phone.

  • I agree, I have not had any big issues, but typing on this keyboard did irritate me. I have learned to type slower though, so now I have gotten used to it.:)

  • I've noticed the same keyboard issues on the Droid in the Verizon store, and even the Droid my bro got today. Typing on the vboard is for some reason unresponsive if you go too fast (which doesn't even seem fast at all). It may be because the S1 has screwed me over, but I absolutely refuse to believe all those people who say that typing is flawless on the vboard. I want to see actual video evidence of someone typing "blazing fast" like I hear so often.

  • Yeah I call BS on those saying they can type really fast on the Droid. It's an excellent phone but the keyboards are lacking.

  • I'm also getting those same errors :-\ are you also having problems about you trying to type fast and the Droid not typing it. I'll make a quick video about it when I get home from work in a while

  • Yes i won't keep up with what I type unless I go somewhat slow. If I type fast, I can see the letter popping up that I am pressing on it but it doesn't register it in the text box.

  • Okay so I did take my droid back and got another, but even the new one is still doing it. I think what is happening is the keyboard will disappear if you swipe down on it a few times.

  • are you forced to keep having the data plan or can u cancel it after a month.. b/c last time i checked all smart phones need data plan, but i want this phone b/c mine broke today...

  • Not sure but I think you have to keep the plan even after 30 days.

  • you have a lemon, bring it back and get another DROID

  • im having the same issue. it may be because you are unknowingly grazing the "back" key as you type.

  • I made sure my hand wasn't touching the back key :( great phone just this problem is irritating me.
