personally I like the April bits better, they were more like Syberia", pure adventure. Zoe to me was a whiner, as most modern girls are, am sic of it in real life too. April was not nice she was not a whiner either. just smart! Hated to see her go Much of the story is just forgotten or given up for Zoe's "adventures" what happened to that poor merchant Kian interrogated and had arrested?. andThis game at times was alienating towards men. I know I'll get knocked for it but I am telling the truth!

Ragnar is currently working with The Secret World, and they do not even know when it's finished. And Ragnar is working on other stuff, so i don't see that he will start working on it, at least before 2015. Which means that it will probably not be ready before 2017. And i don't think that all the fans will stick on for that long.
wonderful video...i loved story, way of playing, music and the great use of light and wonderful architecture that is in the game...the pplk at funcom created beautiful scenes and worlds....

i just gotta say it, if you understand norwegian, PLAY IT IN NORWEGIAN! Seriously, usually i hate my language, but this game is a 1000 times more epic in the original language!

Yeah. I got so attached to the story and Zoe. The only regret I have was being able to finish it so fast! I thought it was going to be longer than that but well... Still waiting for DF: Chapters. It's been years since they announced it, but still nothing T_T
This game is something else... I have played it only now after 2 years of it's release, and even though i was so late i'm glad i finally listened to the advices of many and purchased it. It turned out to be the best adventure games i've played and now it holds #1 place in my top 50 best adventure games of all times list along with Grim Fandango. Devs if you're reading this, please don't disappoint with the episodes. I'm yet to play the first game released in 2000 :)

Foreverandeverchris - to my knowledge, there have been no updates since June and the chapters aren't actually in production yet (or at least, they haven't told us it is). My guess would be 2009, maybe 2010.
As for other games: have you played The Longest Journey? It's the prequel to Dreamfall - it's an older game and a click-and-point adventure but just as incredible.

Too bad theres no sequel.The ending leaves a bit to be desired,but I must say it was ridiculously emotional. To go through such a journey only to have it a bit meaningless in the end was something I've never experienced in video games before. The game itself isnt amazing, actionpacked, or really too much fun(imo), but devs have no other way to deliver great stories except with the point and click or RPG route;I think it's time to give birth to a new genre that has the emotion AND the excitement

I think she survived. I think that because of the thingy that lets her breathe under water that she got from the maerum in TLJ. And the shock of what happened enabled her to shift. And then she got hospitalised and saved so yay. That's what I believe.
I actually think you are right DudeMeister44! She did get the underwater breathing thingy, and she is able to shift! So maby she got to safety and just maby she is still alive! I am so looking forward to the next game :)

syberia 1 and 2 can be got in a collectors edition, real cheap and syberia 1 tho not as stunning as 2 is by far a better game for me, in 2 the environments were stunning but they cut out the whole mobile convo with her fiance and best friend- for good reason if u play 1- but as a result it jus lost the extra amusement

You really should check out the first game as well, it's just as good and even better in some aspects. April, who you met in the 2nd, was the main character in the first.

i hated this game. 1) the story did not end and leave you clueless about what the game is really about 2) camera angles are the most annoying thing i ever seen 3)the puzzles and gameplay is so easy 4)there are alot of holes and plots that just did not add up.

hey, quick question. First off, I LOVE DREAMFALL its like my favorite game ever. But my question is, has anyone played syberia? and if so, how does it compare to this game? THANKS!

I've played Syberia! It was a cool game, but not that much fantasy, am I right? And does it exist on pc or just PS2? :p Btw, I've only played Syberia 2. And one more thing, NOTHING compares to Dreamfall :D<33

syberia 1 and 2 can be got in a collectors edition, real cheap and syberia 1 tho not as stunning as 2 is by far a better game for me, in 2 the environments were stunning but they cut out the whole mobile convo with her fiance and best friend- for good reason if u play 1- but as a result it jus lost the extra amusement

I love this game, and The Longest Journey (first one) and I have always loved the music and the wonderful story.
They really ... capture a kind of magic feeling or something. A great video.

You really should check out the first game as well, it's just as good and even better in some aspects. April, who you met in the 2nd, was the main character in the first.
I'm going to be all over the third game as soon as they finish it. Hopefully it won't take as long as the gap between the first and second.

i hated this game. 1) the story did not end and leave you clueless about what the game is really about 2) camera angles are the most annoying thing i ever seen 3)the puzzles and gameplay is so easy 4)there are alot of holes and plots that just did not add up.
