But is the jerking from the motor mounts being needed to be replaced .....or is the trans bad ...it only has 74k on it runs smooth just the jerking and scared to be on the highway and see my engine go past me lmfao......
What's up bro that's what's up you got your bushings and mounts fixed, But i have a 1996 ford tauras lmfao...now when u drive it for a while and go to park ...then 5 mins later you start it up to reverse it jerks , then put it in D the motor jerks too. So i have my buddy put it in R Then D with me looking at the motor and the whole motor moves back and forth , even when im driving or turning you hear a crinkle noise like under ur feet and in the motor like a antique T model ford
I hope you installed the inner Tie Rod Ends on MOOG brand they're the best... I have same problem with the vibration thing but just when I apply gas over 50 mph, I still have to replace the subframe bushings to get it work right since I have already replace the tie rod end inner and outers. I remember to start having some minor rust issues but I fixed it with high temp engine paint, I also recommend to paint the brake calipers... Anyways have a good one! =)
hey whats up man i watch most of ur vids becuz i have the exact car ,,n e way my mec told me that my bushings were bad too and i have that vibration too ,,i hate it ,,n e way let me know how much the motor and tranny mounts were and the bushings too ,,
Both motor mounts and the tranny mount cost about $230-260 depending on where you buy them from. Flat rate labor to do all three at once is 1.9 hours, so the cost of labor depends on how much they charge per hour.
All the parts to the subframe mounts cost me around 100 bucks, plus 10 dollars shipping since I ordered them online. I don't know how much labor is for this. I'm doing them myself anyway (still waiting for the parts to come in though).
haha that kind of stuff happens to me all the time too (the duct tape thing).
Once, I was replacing the speedometer lights on a Taurus, and the trim covering of the gauges comes off in 3 parts. And putting it back together, I kept forgetting one of the layers. So I basically had take it apart and put it together 3 times. You'd think I would have just checked the first time.
