this game had a lot of potential but ultimatly failed because it has many bugs and, the missions are boring and repetative and the AI is too aggressive. they should have made respawn time like 24 hours after you kill them and less enemy checkpoints. also the story progression should have been much more interesting and longer, side missions more diverse! and maybe a more ,,smarter'' AI next time. the only good thing about this game was it's graphics and a solid music score.

Sure it wasn't how any gamer wants their experience to end, sure it was a blindside, hell I was pissed about it when I first beat the game, but in hindsight, it's a pretty crazy ending considering everything you went through to get there and why in addition to the Jackals own motives throughout the game.

The jackal is indeed not the cuase of the war but he is aiding it. The jackal the one providing illegal arms to both factions so you( which ever merc you choose to play as) is sent in to kill him, regardless if he saved your ass you still have to do the job. even though the games doesen't play that way in the end.

Get Left 4 Dead. Easily the best game out of the bunch. Yeah there aren't too many maps but it's invaluable as a social experience. The first few times you play are so aggressively fun, it makes up for the lack of content. Not to mention the missing content will be supplied and then some by left 4 dead 2.

good story and game, but I think that it could have been more about the action, as uutooyu said, as opposed to getting to where you're supposed to go taking up most of the play time.

I would have preferred guardposts and buildings with much heavier defense, but they don't respawn after you've cleared them out. That way, if you take the time to clear them all, you don't have to worry about any more guys sitting there on your way back.
