  • ive got a sunpro afr gauge and after installing it it stayed at lean didnt sway then i put 2 new O2 sensors in and now instead of 1 main led lit it goes up to 2 ive had it in the orange range barely lit never reaches ideal mixture nor does it sway when throttle is peaked any suggestions as to why it stays to lean? i have a ford zx2

  • Narrowband is useless on a boosted car, you need a wideband AFR! Otherwise it's just a ricer light show! I have an AEM EUGO on my C32.

  • @autotechnica; That's what everyone was saying, so I just disconnected it because the light was too bright anyways. Thinking about swapping it out with an IAT sensor. My car dynoed at 12.6 AFR so it should be good...

  • @gt4awd Did you measure the AFR's at the tail pipe or you used a proper O2 bung? It's usually not very accurate if you measure from the tailpipe. In my experience it's .5AFR's leaner. Anyways, I would be happy with 11.5-12.0 tuned. For a stock car even 12.5ish is acceptable.

BTW, got any pics of the gauge pods? thanks.

  • @autotechnica; This is gt4awd just on brothers wifes account. Anyways, we did measure at the tailpipe. Are you saying it reads .5 leaner than it actually is, correct? So more accurately i'm running around 11.9? Watch the very end of this video. It has photographs of the pillar setup. I plan to do a carbon fiber overlay on the pod assembly. Just finished installing CF rear diffuser, and CF front lip today. Have some Lorinser side skirts I plan to CF overlay too.

  • @autotechnica Yep, at my friend's shop dyno, I had an AEM EUGO hooked up in the volvo 850 turbo and it consistently read .5AFR's leaner measuring from the exhaust pipe as compared to a proper O2 bung on the downpipe. I also tried the same thing with my SAAB when measuring with an MSD DASHHAWK wideband, again, it was around the same at .6-.7AFR's leaner when measuring from the exhaust. From then on, he just uses the readings as a rough estimate by saying it's approx. .5afr's richer.

  • @gt4awd Hmmmm I was just browsing the MBWORLD forums and realized that you post there. I guess C32 owners are a very close knit community. I just picked mine up last week. BTW, the pillar pods don't look too bad, but they would definitely require some sort of custom molding if you're picky about cosmetics. I would leave it if it were a C230 or something, but on a C32, gotta make it look more flush! Nice work anyways.

  • @autotechnica; Yes, I do post on MBWORLD, and occasionally on BENZWORLD. Was really active on the other forum when I had my 2002 C230 Kompressor Sportcoupe. Username there is 2002c230 with around 1,400 posts. I plan to finish up the pod holder with end caps, and overlay in CF. Should like great! Did you make an account on mbworld? It's a great forum especially if you need help with something. Lots of knowledgeable AMG owners.

  • slow

  • @lxshuffler117; Thanks! Slow is Honda Civic, not C32 AMG, but whatever.

  • dont have a civic i have a mustang on nitrous :p

  • @lxshuffler117; Ahh, Mustang owner. Should have guessed that one...

  • nice car man

  • Thanks... Few days ago a power steering leak started right at the pump. By tomorrow I'll have the pump off and know if it's just the gasket, or if I need a new $650 dollars pump...

  • i recently had to replace a pump, cant remember if it was a water pump or a air pump. $700.00. Now it is make these weird noises. almost sounding like a diesel engine. the shop said it was the tensions and the belt. $400.00+.
