I think all it needs is a bit of tuning 'cause he said the strings are new. If it's really bright, well, I've read that piano techs could soften the hammers.
I don't like yamaha's, they're not terrible... but I think if you search very well you can find way better value for money. The sound of a yamaha is too clear to me.
And the bass isn't warm, beautiful and deep. The higher notes don't have much feeling in them either.
And that guy plays terrible. he slams in the keys and doesn't even listen to the music. If I would say that it hurt my ears, I would lie. But it's not far from that.
i love the piano, it is a bit bright, but the sound it gives off is very rich. I don't usually enjoy playing Yamaha's because of their touch sensitivity, but you seem to have gotten over that. May i say that you did an amazing job with the Liszt and Chopin.
@yami12019 Yamahas are designed to respond even to the most delicate nuances of a pianist. (That's what they say in their site) And pianos are supposed to be touch sensitive, isn't it?
Sounds very, very bright! I prefer the Kawai. But still sounds great but a bit on the bright side for my personal taste. All the music you're playing is stuff I'm learning as well!
