  • Glad you liked it and this wasn't for the holiday season!

  • I was on these Cars on August 2 2009. For the Trip up to the 207st Shops I love these Cars that roar and they take off like bullets That day with my dad was so great. My dad use to ride these cars in the 60's when he was a kid

  • I didn't go to that trip, but its a nice ride!

  • Don't you just love the roar of those old subway cars that engine. Plus the tank engine whistle. I road this train years ago. It has been so long since i have been to the transit musem.

  • I def love the sound, the movement and the subway cars. I had a good time that day. I was in the Transit Museum in October!

  • BUT WHEN

  • But when what?

  • Hey i went on the one on 7/22/07 to Rockaway Park plus the C wasnt running that weekend.

  • I didn't go to that one b/c I didn't had the money in time...but I will go that one this year!

  • The "C" train was an 8th Avenue Bronx Concourse Express.

    The "A" train, Washington-Heights, 8th Avenue

    Express.

The "E" train, 8th Avenue Queens Express. The 8th Ave Independent Subway System Remember the old "AA" 8th Ave Local, the "CC" 8th Avenue Bronx Concourse Local, and the "EE" 8th Avenue Queens local / Whitehall Street-Queens Forest Hills Local. The Brooklyn-Queens Crosstown Line "GG" Local.

  • LOL....why you say that?

  • they are pretty slow now a days

  • Its an old train what ya expect lol!

  • ME WAS THERE TOO!DID you see blond kid?

  • It was so many people in the front....I really didn't pay attention to anyone, but if you come to another Transit Museum trip I'll probably I'll recognize you!

  • u were in the front car?

  • Yeah!

  • i was also in the front car

  • Really??? Wow....thats really a coincidence!

  • I rode on those prewar IND cars when we first moved to New Jersey in 1967 and remember them very, very well. Their marvelous sounds were music to my ears. During the subway centennial celebration, I had a chance to ride on them once again and those memories came back in an instant.

  • I'm glad you enjoyed yourself and had fond memories, but to bad I didn't join the Transit Museum soon enough to celebrate the Centennial of the subway!

  • great video

  • Thank you!
