I usually explain that identical twins are spontaneous, but people still ask if they run in my family. Then they ask if one is a boy and the other is a girl. Really!? I could go on and on...
I have identical twin boys and my husband and I shop separately when we go to the store now because of all the extremely rude questions. It doesn't help that me and him are both mixed (white and black) and both of us have colored eyes but favor our darker parents and we had straight up blonde hair blue eyed babies (look just like their grandparents!), the questions start with if their "natural" then follows with if they're his! People are ruthless!

I'm the mother of ID twin boys and I agree...You CANNOT make eye contact because everyone will stop and ask these questions... and tell you a story of someone THEY know that had twins...and much more.
@Sivispacemparab I feel exactly the same way, it has gotten to the point where I hate to make eye contact with people because I know they want to strike up a conversation! This must be how celebrities feel!

I went to vote with my twins in a stroller and the person handing me my ballot asked if I had "taken drugs"...
