Thats such a good idea!! Personally I love Hanson, and have done since the days of Mmmbop but i think it has "damaged" them. If people would give them a chance now i think they'd find they like them!! I might test it out on my friends and see how they do!

The Beach Boys when the average person looks back at them remembers their surfing days and those songs. Those people made some of the best songs ever, God Only Knows is a song that is forgotten. So they are in a similar boat to Hanson. For instance, I've done this to my friends playing Beach Boys songs like Johnny Carson, and people didn't know it was them, but when I told them, they were in shock. But you are right, I don't think I can truely think of another group in the same boat as thse guys

You make a good point, but I think a case could be made that few bands had/have the reputation Hanson does AND the change of sound. For instance, the Back Street Boys Still sound like a boy band. Hanson sounds NOTHING like the way they did when mmmbop was released. Hence, the documentary. Your thoughts are appreciated, though, of course. Thanks for watching :).

i've always wanted to do something like this, in a way i kinda did, i was in a history of rock class and the teacher wanted us to bring in things that we liked so i played danceing in the wind, and everyone one there was so upset that i was playing hanson (there was another fan there too), but just that they knew it was hanson they were so un energetic and like "why are you killing me with this stuff" aditude. i had to say it was hanson though cuz of the teacher.

That is an awesome video. I love it! It really shows that if people would give Hanson a chance, they'd probably really like it, instead of just associating it with MMMBop. I did an experiment like this with a class I taught on feminized male images in the media. They had no idea the new pictures I showed were Hanson ( a few class members said the guys in those pictures were hot, etc), but they recognized the old orange and yellow MON photos immediately, and responded unfavorably. When I told them they were looking at the same band, they flipped out.
