Ouch! Watching the way that guy treats vinyl records is like watching people abuse dogs and cats in China. Just awful! As long as there is playable music on a vinyl record, for me, it's almost like a living thing that should be cared for.
@TwinMillMC I feel the same way! It especially bothered me at the beginning when he just threw the record onto the turntable and quickly picked up the needle and dropped it onto the record. You could hear it start to skip. And just the fact that he's making art out of records by legendary artists upsets me. It's like he's ruining a piece of history.
I understand if the record is scratched, but out of a perfectly good one? There are a lot of vinyl lovers out there and I for one have more luck finding Beatles albums as bowls than an actual playable disk.
@ all the vinyl lovers on here. I see that alot of people are upset by this but evidently there aren't as many vinyl lovers out there as you think. I recently saved 300+ records from being sent to the dump in hopes someone would want them. I have been posting them every few days on craigslist and Freecycle for over 2 months now and have not got a single response. So the question is what do I do with 300+ records I don't want since no one else seems to be interested either?
@8055boss8055 You could sell them to the right people instead of posting them on a general classified and waiting. Ebay, used record stores and pawn shops are all great places to try. If all else fails, I would send them to thrift before destroying a playable record. This art is a waste if they are using good vinyl. Save the junk records that don't play anymore for this stuff, PLEASE! It hurts to watch.
theres nothing wrong with it coz theres alot of records out there that no one wants and will just be binned so why not make use of them. its better than wasting them and chucking them in the bin
@Fergusil THEY SOULD MAKE THAT LAW BECAUSE THIS IS MADNES MAKING BOWL AND COSTERS AND WHO EVER MAKES THEM SHOULD STICK IT UP THER ASS AND WHO THE FUC* SELLS BOWL AND COSTER THAT IS RETARDED AND THEY COULD SELL THE RECORD WITH THE COVER FOR A BETTER FUC*IN PRICE ARE PEOPLE SO RETARDED.
THATS A DISGRACE!!!YOU GUYS SHOULD BE SHOOT FOR DOING THIS! THEY DONT MAKE VINYL ANYMORE THEREFORE THEY ARE EXTREMELY RARE AND SHOULD BE LOOKED AFTER LIKE AN INVESTMENT INSTEAD OF IDIOTS LIKE YOU ACTING THE BOLLOX WITH THEM.THOSE RECORDS THAT YOU DESTROYED WILL NEVER BE PRESSED AGAIN.VINYLS WERE MADE TO BE LISTENED TO NOT TO EAT CORNFLAKES OUT OF! THAT AMAZING VINYL COLLECTION IN THE BACKROUND SHOULD BE CONFISCATED AND GIVEN TO SOMEONE WHO APPRECIATES VINYL! THATS SICK!!
@mi6thebeatles YEAH!..AND CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS IDIOT DESTROYED A RECORD WORTH 300POUNDS, A RARITY THAT WILL NEVER BE PRESSED AGAIN!! I CANT BELIEVE THERE ITS A LAW WHICH PROTECTS RARE VINYL AND PROSECUTES PRICKS LIKE HIM WHO ACT THE BOLLOX WITH IT!-A DISGRACE!!
The first second of this video tells you a lot about this guy. No respect for anything. It would be "Vinyl Justice" if one morning he didn't open the store and the police go in and find him crushed beneath a huge pile of records that fell on him! And the Kinks record he was throwing around will be right on his face laughing!
@totalrandomcrap Not always true. I have a some of records that don't work anymore because the people I got them from didn't take care of them. So instead of throwing them out, I made them into useful bowls.
of course, there is much crap on wax, but if you see an art object from them, made of rare and sought after records, man i would cry.... cause these dudes propably dont know what records one can take for this kind of art....
dude if you have that many records you would take better care of them. i just bought a set of about 1199 vinyl records and i learned that just because you dont have a turntable dosnt mean that you treat them lick crap! + you can cet big bucks of of e bay. never let the heart and soul ov vinyl die! long live vinyl!!!!!!!!
also do you know how to use a record player? you set the needle down easly an gently! it will damage youre needle and the vinyl record. long live vinyl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
all this guy is managing to do is piss record collectors off, one man or even a small group of people could possibly know every rare record out there and if they do make art out of a rare one they are actually screwing themselves out of money.
the song at the starting (lola by the kinks) is an awsome song i hope he didnt make art out of an awsome record its bad enough how he just through it on the turn table like that ay
this guy is retarded doing that to a beatles record im pretty shure you can do without impractical decorative bowls id take reeeeally shitty records slap a good reproduction label on and presto a retarded bowl
Man...could he throw that Lp on that turntalble any harder? lol Geeezzz.
I also hope they are checking these things before they destroy them. I can just see walking in there and seeing a Beatles Butcher Cover lp being turned into a $2 Coaster. ....and please tell me where the landfill is with all these records stacked in it...I'M THERE!!!!!
i cringed when he threw the record on the player.
