  • Go Vols.

  • this is freakin awesome go vols

  • Good ole real football days.

  • @Solidus1321 Indeed. Thank God for film.

  • Great Vid!!!

  • Yall gotta realize Vanderbilt was dominant in that time. Bill Wade, drafted 1st

  • Yeah, this is a bit after the big golden years though. Back then Vanderbilt and Swanee use to dominate the South in football. Hopefully we can see a resurgence in the Vanderbilt program. But you can thank us UT anytime you want for getting Neyland hired, considering he only had one directive, beat Vanderbilt.

  • @killerfurball what bout Kent?

  • @killerfurball

His predecessor couldn't beat anyone. In thanking you, we'd also have to thank many MANY other teams.

  • Our history, our tradition is second to NONE.

    GO BIG ORANGE !!

  • that shoulda been a false start!

  • The blocking back then always amuses me.

  • Great video! Tennessee is my sleeper team for 2007-the team that not many people are expecting to contend for the National Title that I think could:

    1. The Vols have a solid team and an experienced quarterback.

    2. Not many people are expecting the Vols to contend.

    3. The players also will be motivated to give Fulmer a good season. His seat has some heat.

4.The coaching staff will be practically the same as the one that led Tennessee to the title in 1998.

    Anyone agree with me?

  • Yeah!

  • Well, with two losses, I doubt Tennessee will make the title game. However, because of the reasons I gave, I think the Vols have the potential to win all the rest of their games. A two loss season with the schedule the Vols have is mighty fine! Amen?

  • The 10-1 1950 Tennessee Vols. They beat Texas 20-14 in the 1951 Cotton Bowl. Their only loss was a 20-14 loss to 4-6 Mississippi State. Tennessee would win the National Title in 1951. Tennessee Coach General Robert Neyland was a legend.

  • As a matter of Fact, the Football Stadium that the Vols play is named after Robert Neyland.
