Bush pressured Saudi to increse oil production so as to reduce the gas prices. His request was rejected. The reason's simple: The supply meets the demand! US financial sector deliberately depreciates dollar and increases the gas prices thru massive trading practices to create a delusion of oil shortage. Once the production rises, they'll bring down the price to below reasonable. The goal is to hurt oil-suppliers like Iran & Russia while purchasing enough cheap oil for next war.
