Andrew should have directed this. The script and the directing for VDT is what killed it, in my opinion - Georgie & Skandar (& Will) were brilliant, but there's only so much you can do with poor material.

Reepicheep is the motor of the storry in the book, in my oppinion. His longing for Adventures and the East. His bravery... Reepicheep is the one who wants to go on and on and that kinda draws the storry.
I may be able to understand some of the things he did, but just because he thought the book didn't have a "drive" doesn't mean that he gets to ultra-speed up the movie enough to have barely enough character development. If it was slow it would've been much better.
