If you're counting it out try crossing over and hitting the Snare with your right hand on 7 and the high-hat with your left hand on And. Or you can just copy what he does. Either way.

i was just curious b/c i dance and moving in a 7 is a bit tricky so i wondered if it was tricky to play musically

And dancing is close to drumming, seriously. So yes, when you dance 7, a drummer feels the same trickiness only with their drums. =)

It's not incredibly hard but it's certainly not as easy as counting 3 past 4. Anyone can count. You have to keep thinking though you know? 4 is pretty mindless compared to 7 as pretty much all western music is in 4 and hardly any is in 7. Cheers man and thanks again!
