@IamTimAllen I completely agree with you. And for those that think that this music is unholy, look at it this way, who is going to preach to people who listen to this style of music. They are (probably) not going to listen to the likes of Chris Tomlin and Amy Grant. No, they are going to want to listen to the likes of August Burns Red, Demon Hunter, and Living Sacrifice.
I'm not actively Christian, but I can still feel the belief in me sometimes. Im reluctant to start serving Him but this music and its messages are so powerful. I hope that one day I'll find a group of talented Christian musicians to tour with and help spread His word and I can find the Lord through the power of music. That's my dream.

At RYzone38, it's influence on the world, but also a great alternative to music of the same genre that has language in it. They have it in all genres. Not too many people like hymns now days.
Any music played for God is good. I don't care if you think this style is "stupid" or not. Some people like different genre's of music and there are bands out there spreading the word of God in there music in every genre. You know, I've read the lyrics to some of these songs, and yeah, they're real great, but how could God possibly accept screaming as a form of worship? You know, it's awesome to get pumped up for Christ but is it truly for Him when think you have to scream like the devil to do so? It's like putting basketball courts in churches. That stuff's already out in the world. We are supposed to influence the world, not be influenced by the world. And yes, I used to justify this music as a form of worship.

The term rock, or rock and roll when referring to this type of music, is actually simply from a song title- the song had nothing to do with sex or profanity.

And following up on your references that "call Hell's existence into question", neither verse does that.
Romans 2:11 is talking about the justice of God, how he judges everyone the same (we are all sinners). Only through Christ are we redeemed from our state of damnation.
I Peter 1:15 has nothing to do with Hell. It talks about being holy as Christ is, but I don't see what you're apparently seeing there.

If the LYRICS apply to what God has shared to us in the Bible, then what is wrong with it? Remember, Jesus sat with sinners, not saints. @Matachilangos I don't know about the other two bands but For Today and Impending Doom are truly what they preach. They are voices to a generation that is forever being more influenced by music. It is through music that they are reaching people that would not normally be touched by the word of God. That is exactly what Christ wanted, to spread the word to people so that they may be saved, and that is exactly what they are doing.
