The gater produces a lot of excess noise, I've found. :(

The stack-effect does, but the advanced version of the effect (if you know what that is) allows you to adjust the amount of the noise in the effect. although i do agree they should have taken it out of the basic effect, it does make some cool scratch sounds if you adjust the rate while playing a loop =)

the gater algorythm does suck on traktor pro.. the one on torq is MINT and reduces noise like it should. if you're chopping off 1/2 beats, you would assume it would make less noise but i guess not

How did u loop deck B, "started recording a 4 count loop" ? I dont see the loop button on, so was it the beatmasher thats looping?

If its the beatmasher, did u count 4 downbeats and switch off the deck B playback?

I have tried to sample off beatmasher and layer things on top of the sample, but I am having difficulties creating the pattern I want off setting cue points and using the beatmasher effect, and on top of that, the sample from beatmasher does not sound as good as the original

Make sure your wet/dry is turned all the way up and turn on the beatmasher to capture a 4 beat loop, it should sould the same as the original.

i just wanted to ask u because i actually spent a lot of time doing my mapping on the xone and im using the jogs for scratch and going fast somewhere in the track as well

and a nob for the pitch because sometimes i like to beatmatch manually

do u think there are any options for me to use the pitch like you going from the top to the bottom that fast and be able to keep my old map?
