Funny how Poison has SO many good songs taht people have never heard of cause they weren't on the radio or MTV. Play songs like this for them and they are like wow totally awesome. The first 4 Poison albums have some killer stuff.

I've seen poison 6 times and even though they always put on a great show they've never played this song. I think this is one one Poison's best. If you're reading this Brett, next time you come to Toronto, play Life Loves a Tragedy please.

Poison was one of the BEST rock bands to come out of the 80's. They had that certain "edge" that other bands just dreamed of. They are GREAT performers, and C.C. Deville is one of the best guitarists to ever stand behind a guitar....not THE BEST...but certainly at the top. They were all in all a VERY SOLID group. Long live the music of the 80's.

My niece will be 15 in 2 months and even tho she likes many of today's artists, she would much rather listen to 80's music! @swanski100 metalcore is awesome bro and i came up listening to 80's hard rock and metal it's not screamo dude read the lyrics and then look at the lyrics of past bands they are telling you about corruption and evil in the world. All that remains has good pshycosomatic notes that produce emotional responses in people and the blast beats are unbeatable even if your jon bonham. just exactly wtf do you know about what your talking about? i bet not a damn thing.
One of the best bands ever, what I wouldnt do to see them live! They did pretty well for a long time, my kids are teens and know of them only because they have been raised with the music of Poison/Bon Jovi/Def leppard/Alice Cooper etc. My daughter loves Poison. I've told my kids when I die, they are to play "Nothing But a Good Time" at my funeral, if they dont, I am going to haunt them forever! Lol

Very true Robinann34, I'm stoked my daughter will listen to the same music as me (as well as the stuff they have now) I think it's good the kids of today listen to the 'old' stuff: my son thinks the old stuff is heaps better than todays music. I loved all the glam/hair bands and still love them, I even exercise to Poison's Greatest Hits DVD! You can't go past the hair band music, gotta love it, and I'm glad I've had a chance to share it with my children! xxoo
I don't know how they're playing live these days, but I remember I didn't 'really' like these guys till I saw them live. I alway just assumed they were some cheesy band that milked the glam marketing dollar w/ all they had, but then I saw them live and wow.... I finally saw what the fuss was all about w/ their live shows back in the day. I think they would have sold a shit ton more records if whoever was in charge of their sound production made them sound closer to their live performances.
@exodusfromearth - Not sure the exact year (early 90's were a fuzzy time) but it wasn't too long after the 'Swallow This Live' CD came out.. Wasn't too long after that CC hit the road (may have been his last tour, not sure). I don't know what bug they had up their asses that night but they were all spot on and even tuned things different to sound heavier (maybe just experimenting since music was changing) and I remember thinking too bad that show wasn't on CD rather than the 'Swallow' one.
Flesh and Blood is also my favorite Poison album. It offered more than just a party image (Look What the Cat Dragged In) and an ablum that is full of filler songs except for the huge hits (Open Up And Say . . .Ah!)

Poison, especially in today's youth, they're practically unknown, I mean okay the had two Songs in two Guitar Heroes, but that was really it, i agree they have so much talent, and they don't get the real credit they actually deserve! this song is the best from the flesh & blood album. Never understood why they released as a first single Unskinny bop with songs like Ride the wind, something to believe in and life loves a tragedy. No wonder some people didn't take them seriously. Flesh & Blood is one of the greatest records but most people didn't listen to it because the first single was a stupid song

Agree that Poison is much more talented than they got credited for, but they're not complaining. "Unskinny Bop" was a huge hit and it gets a huge pop every time they play it live. The crowd loves their party songs.
This is by far my fave Poison song, and one of all time fave songs. I wish I would witness them playing live one day
