I just wonder if you re-use bacon fat are you considered an animal butcher too? Or if you make soup with ham in it and reheat it the next day (to eat) would you get all of the negative comments? It's basically the same thing. The animal was already dead & its meat taken, all you did was use the leftovers, I don't get why some people want to crucify you for that. I love animals but I also understand the need for food. Why let the rest go to waste ? Waste seems to be the bigger travesty here
I wld rather see someone use "all" of the animal rather than throw the rest of it away! I think it's sad you had to explain your choice to use tallow to those that do not agree. Even if they are strictly vegan& do not eat any "animal" products. I can assure you that there are items in their homes that contain animal derived ingredients. It's ridiculous to abuse you over your choice & also hypocritical. You dont abuse animals. You make something great from what most of us waste, no shame in that!
I have not made soap in some time, but recently saw food-grade lye was available, but old-timers did not have access to this, and if you are stirring your soap correctly and long enough I don't know that it would be a preference. There are always those who talk about getting a bad batch, so I can see the industry responding to this. Myself, I am more tuned to the buy-itis that the manufacturers would have us follow, and I avoid unnecessary expenses as much as possible.
LOL, I love your background music, Saturday Night Fever soundtrack? ;.) In my original post, I wrote I had just received my digital scales yesterday, and will be making some soap as soon as I build two soap racks, one for my neighbor and one for me. I will be rendering my fat in the yard over a fire, as the first time I did it, I found the smell unpleasant in the house. May I ask, do you use food-grade lye, or is it different than drain-cleaning lye?Negative commenters, stay away from this one.
I put a comment up, but don't know if it was posted, sorry. Anyways, I am about to render a batch of animal fat from a butcher who I know is certified. I made a batch years ago from some fat I had rendered, and it is the sweetest-smelling soap. I have even used it to wash my clothes in when I had run out of commercial laundry detergent; it was honey-oatmeal, but the oatmeal was ground very, very fine, and the honey weeped out of it for about a month every time I used it, as it was drying.
I just want to say that it is a shame how many people think they have the right to get into everyone's business and tell them what is right and what is wrong according to what they think. If some of you are so worried about someone who makes soap from lard, look in your own back yard and see what you can clean up..apparently you have too much time on your hands..You know what...like this lady said that did this video if you don't like it by all means don't watch it..give everyone a break.
You know what? I think the videos you have posted are awesome. I wanted to know how to render fat and make tallow (for soap, candles, lamps, salves) and here you were, a USEFUL set of videos on Youtube! All those veggie whackos that bark up your tree for using animal fat can suck it! Hahaha, just kidding. Everyone their own opinion and all that. But I really do like your videos, so don't be discouraged!
How do you know that the glycerine comes from animal fat? Glycerine does not have to come from animal fat. It can occur when using just vegetable oils, just so you know.
A little long winded, but we get the point. Remember you don't have to justify what you do or why to anyone. I for one (and obviously others do too) appreciate that I can learn from your videos before I decide whether to go try using tallow, or whether to stick to only veggie-oils-and-lye soaps, or to use glycerin soaps. I think glycerin soaps are "cheating," since the soap is already made (if it were a dish it wouldn't even qualify as "cooking") - anyway, thanks again for the good info!
i make soap at my job.. its really quite clean. if u want to use a soap that does not just tallow/animal fat. use like dove that using a synthetic soap base.. o and also dial..this is just what i know for a fact as for i make these..
@Verge513 Then I think you may need to go back and ask the company owners what "sodium tallowate" is lol That my friend is tallow along with sodium cocoate which is coconut oil and sodium palmitate which is palm oil, all of these are in the two soaps you say you make. Dove is milled and processed differently than how I make my soap, but it IS started the same way as I start my soap. There is a video here on Youtube that shows the commercial soap proccess ;o) Oh I have watched it lol
Thanks for the insight. This is only my second video about making soap. I never heard of tallow so thanks for letting me know about the options. What is the difference in texture from glycerin and tallow? Looking for the first video that sparked this one LOL.
You go girl! And right on for sticking to your principles. I myself applaud your choice to use both types as you choose. I am soooo very glad you are showing how to make soap the way our ancestors did, with animal fat and lye ( ashes in the old old days, thank goodness they found a way to get it from the earth, so we don't have to go burn a big ol bonfire in the yard, although I did it once. ONCE lol) I also appreciate the tallow video, I was gonna try it myself cold turkey now i don't have too.
You are obviously a well educated lady and you have a lot of common scence. I personally use vegetable oils for my soaps, but i do appriciate your videos and information. Being new to this, I appriciate all of the information i can get from many sources. Thank you very much!
Besides all that, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for caring that people know what's in their soap (more people will come to my sida haha). It really scares me that people don't know what they rub on their skin every day. I told my niece and she freaked out. My sister is soo mad at me. :)
Please don't tell me what to do. I feel that your logic describes a double standard: You can do as you wish but I cannot? This is an open forum for all Internet users. I am disgusted by your use of animal fat and the bottle of Suave on your table (which I hope you're just reusing - recycling is marvelous indeed) which both dry out human skin over time. You are not ignorant and are prepared to accept the consequences. So am I. Thumbs down?
First of all I did not tell ANYONE in this video to stop doing what they are doing. second of all I did say in this video " to each his own" And i still stand by if you don't like what I am saying in the video then DON'T WATCH IT!!! PERIOD. You are disgusted, well my skin is very well moisturized. You don't like my bottle of Suave, well TOUGH you didn't buy it. :o) And I do recycle. BTW whats in your non animal fat soap??
I guess you did think I was being aggressive? I apologize for assuming your 10 min video preaching the beauty of animal fat was not about telling non-users of animal fat soap to never view your videos. But since you just said so: I want to watch your video. I want to know how others make soap. I will rate. I will comment. It is my choice. Yup, I didn't buy Suave but I will indeed comment. Right now I'm using xtra virgin coconut oil. I use olive/coconut oil soap with total 7 ingredients.
Personnally, I use vegetable based glycerin in my soaps, but I don't think there's ANYTHING wrong with using tallow. It kills me that people who eat cheeseburgers just like us act like it's so horrible to use tallow. Unless you're vegan, I don't know why you would take offense to it. And even if you are vegan, if you don't like it.....don't buy it:)
You go girl ! just wanted to say you make awesome soaps! I am a soapmaker also I dont make soap with tallow just my choice I dont see anything wrong with it just easier for me, anyways I make all veggie soaps and my soaps all produce there own glycerine from the cold process way so not all glycerine comes from animal fats or melt and pour soaps. But duh you probably already new that.:)
You tell em girl! Ignornace isnt bliss anymore! Ppl think because they buy something from walmart, or "bath & body works" that its "ok" or "safe" but they would be floored to know where and how many of their "safe" products are made! Big companies want to spend the minimum to make the maximum. Its self explanatory. Keep doin what your doin girl, I love watchin your videos!
see thats why you sell at civil war reenactments. the men love soap that is made from beef tallow or lard becuase thats how they made it during the civil war. and they want everything to be period correct :) the only reason i use oils are because most women are picky. they dont understand that thats how they use 2 make soap is save all the fats from cooking add lye water and ect. i dont think many ever will all they care about is if they look good. at least women where i live but noNOT ME!!
I know that God made animals but we have injected them with things God never intended and as a result, the product is no longer natural. Each person has to make a decision based on his/her own convictions. I'm not judging you for choosing that. I know that most Americans are clueless to the treatment of these animals and their living conditions. My concern is simply that tallow is probably no longer so safe.
Also prions that are carried through tallow from mad cows, swine, chickens, sheep, etc... are not killed by high heat temperatures. Check it out, its true. Howard Lyman, Oprah, and Harpo productions were sued togeteher but they won because Howard shared the truth about the meat industries here in America. If you haven't seen it, it's eye opening!!!
If an item has tallow as an ingredient, and you want cow and not cat, you might want to verify with the company what type of tallow it is as much of it comes from rendered road kill and Humane Society left overs.
I know I am late seeing this but I wanted to let you know MY tallow comes from a registered and certified butcher. He cuts the animals himself, and certifies that they are corn and grain fed cows. I do not get my tallow from any companies.
FYI I am a vegetarian and yes my choice is animal free. I have nothing against your comments but would like to add tallow can come from any animal, higher grades being cattle based , cows, pigs, mutton. However, I've also found that sodium tallowate in products can also be cats, dogs, etc. That's absolutely gross but it is by far the cheapest for large factories to acquire and abundant as well.
I heard about your hot process making via Sherrielnett videos. I have been doing a lot of research prior to jumping in and making soap for my family. I've made laudry detergent and am loving it.
aside from the vastly superior soap that tallow yeilds, why waste the animal? they are going to be slaughtered no matter what er do, millions rely on the food source, so why waste the fat too? waste not want not!!!
I am aware of this and that is exactly my point in this video that even natural occuring glycerin is made with tallow. vegetable glycerin of course is made via veggies.
tallow soap rocks! mild, hard and full of superior quality glycerine. i render my own and sell them and they fly out the door! my vege and vegan soap hangs around forever untill i mill it with tallow. my tallow and goatsmilk is my biggest seller...ALL Animal soap!!
Thank you for this video...I actually have not seen any of your other ones, but I was wondering about how the bases of the soap are made and you cleared that up in your educational "rant" haha. I am going to look into the vegetable based ones for my own soaps. Peace
Yes, you can make wonderful soap by using that method. I was simply stating, that not all the glycerin m&p that you see on the market is the kind using animal products.
I make a hard glycerin soap, with no funny ingredients..it's all natural. So it is out there.
I am very well aware of the types of glycerin out there to make soap and hair products. I use veggie glycerin in my hair products AND in my soaps in liquid form to add extra moisture. Trust me, I am the QUEEN of research for ingredients :o) But so you know, even hard veggie glycerin soap may have other chemicals added to it. that is why it is better to make your own gylcerin soap from vegetable oils in soap making. :o)
The increased demand for palm oil which is obtained from the fruit of the oil palm tree and can be grown only in tropical environments is fuelling destruction of the rainforest habitat of Sumatran and Bornean orangutans, pushing those endangered species even closer to extinction. Estimates show that if something isnt done soon to stop the spread of palm oil plantations into the forests that harbour these orangutans, they will be extinct in twenty years.
I agree :o( I use palm oil only from sustainable sources. But I only use it in soap making and I don't make soap that often anymore. BUT Tallow soaps are very mild and just as beneficial to the skin as palm oil. There are more cows in the world than there are orangutans. And so we are doing th orangutans a favor by using suet from bovine, and not destroying their habitat to obtain palm fruit.
Yup, the animal "worshiper's" run amok on Youtube and everywhere else. They have made veganism into a paganistic religion. Their choice, no foul. But when they attempt to impose their choices on others it makes me want to render their fat for some lovely soap. Live long SWEENEY TODD!
Yeah and while they are complainingthey are doing it from their leather sneakers nd dress shoes lol. Yes Sweeney live on forever. I love the movie and the soundtrack :o)
YOu rock girl!!!! Making soap from fat is old school, all of our ancestors made their soap from fat! They didn't have the luxury of shopping online, they had to use what they had. I like both veg soap and tallow soap.
Thank you. I remember when my grandmother made soap, I didn't know just WHAT she was doing, it it allways involved the stuff under her sink and fat that she saved from cooking. Now I am older I understand and if my people have been making soap for ages with fat then so will I lol :o)
Now- I don't see why they were upset... that animal died anyway. You're not wasting the fat if you make the soap out of the fat. It's also your choice to eat meat for gods sake. I'm a vegitarian too. Geeze.
I love the movie and I have the soundtrak on my Zune lol. This particular time my daughter was watching the movie. Thank you for the reassuring words. They should be happy I am using the PURE fat from the cow lol
Excellent video. You know you've probably upset a lot of 'purist' who didn't know where glycerin came from. Lol. My mind automatically goes to all the PETA people running around in leather shoes...oops, did I say that out loud? *G* I'm getting ready to start my own adventures in soap making and I have no qualms about using tallow. My ancestors used it. I will too. 5 stars. =D
Thank you :o) Yes there are PETA people wagging their judgment finger at me lol Like you said they are doing it wearing leather shoes lol. Purists have to realize the word pure means: clean, fresh, untainted, free of disease or chemical. So there is nothing wrong with my tallow soaps as they are all of the above. :o)
African black soap is made (most traditonally) from ash and water (this makes lye naturally), plantain skins, shea butter, roasted cocoa (chocolate) pods, and palm oil. Thank you for supporting my view :o)
Don't let anyone steal your Joy, girl! Why is rudeness the default response ... people rush to judge, insult, degrade ... instead of simply asking you a few questions (why do you use it, what are the benefits, etc.) to get more info? C'mon, let's have a cow (yesss, pun intended! ;D), over all of the toxic mainstream personal "care" items that are falsely advertised everywhere.
My husband can't understand why he is breaking out in a rash. I told him it is the body washes he is using (heavy perfumed and has sodium lauryl or laureth sulfate). But took my challenge: I told him to use MY soap for a week, and then go back to his body wash. After switching to my soap he had NO rash. As soon as he goes back to his body wash, the rash comes back. Now I ask you, what is more harmful?? lol
Those people who are complaining about u using tallow don't even think about how all the unnecessary chemicals that are in commercial products go into their bloodstream thru their skin & how commercial products contain irritants & create a viscious cycle where their products make your skin drier so that you have to use more commercial products to correct the dryness or whatever reaction caused by the commercial products. But most people don't even care. I think your soaps are beautiful.
Thank you for the compliment. I try to make the best bars I can. Poison in commercial soaps! That was my point EXACTLY! lol They were saying that I shouldn't use animal fats and how bad they are, but commercial soaps are causing cancer! And so far I have had the softess skin with my tallow soaps.
I see nothing wrong w/ your choices. The way I see it--if you are making soap from whatever you use f/ ingredients then you are doing much better than using commercial soaps. I try my best to educate my customers about the benefits of handmade v/s commercial with all the disadvantages but have found that most people don't even care.
For me glycerin is the name of a chemical compound. The source (vegetable or animal), at this point, is unimportant to me. I'm interested in it's hydrophillic properties. And I agree 100% that life is life. We live by consuming other living things whether we are vegans or omnivores. No fan am I of the livestock industry. I may CHOOSE to make vegetable glycerin soaps or I may choose to render fat from an animal I or a neighbor-friend has slaughtered. Now Dr Bronners liquid soap works for me. :)
Thank you for your input :-) It is absolutely right on :-) I am glad that there are people like you that have their eyes open to the very same thing I am saying in this video. Thank you thank you thank you :-)
I subscribe and find your videos very informative and that's why most subscribe, for the information you have chosen to post. I don't watch all of your stuff; only what matters to me, I don't agree with all either but such is life. Sweetie, you takes your chances when you post; someone may not agree with what you are saying and that is a given. You are bigger than this video. Choice is not just yours, it's also freely available for those that have been given the opportunity to view and comment.
Thank you for the encouraging words, and you are right about choice. The video is meant to be educational, not a response to hateful comments lol I know better than to come onto youtube and rant and rave about "mean"comments. This is why I chose to educate instead of insult.
when i was reading a site how to make soap it did mention tallow, i never knew it was fat. i am sure its better to make your own. so thanks for showing us what we use every day. i saw on the food network that a lot of dyes we eat are made from beattles...they crush the red juice out of them and we eat it!
i hope you keep educating us. soap makers would have known what you are teaching, I am just surprised i have been using lots of products not knowing i am eating bug and bathing in fat...lol
LOL Actually if you don't see the words "Sodium Tallowate,Cocoate,or Palmate" you are actually bathing in a bunch of chemically made detergents. Commercial soaps todays are made of detergents with a few natural oils thrown in to supposedly impart softeness to the skin, but I noticed after I used the junk that my skin was always dryer after their use. Trust me on this one, you want the oils and fats to bath in lol
i saw the vid where you used fat...its just something to see. my mom told me her grandma used fat and box lye. i sorry i said yuck...seeing you do that just made me think all soap was made with fat. i would like to make soap but am learning.
You are not one of the people I am trying to educate dear :-) But seeing these words from you lets me know that I did reach you with educational words. If someone had told me 1 year ago while I was bathing with my Lever 2000, that I would be making my own healthy, natural soaps someday I would have said "Yeah right!" But here I am doing so:-) Trust me I was stunned about the animal fat as well, but I read up on it.
i subscribe n have nothing against u.. but i think u are wrong in this video. since u made it a public video i do have the right to rate it one if i don't agree with something said in ur video. n since u allowed comments people do have the right to say what they think.. if u disagree tell them but it makes no sense (2 me) 2 tell someone 2 just stop watching at things they see as wrong; by that reasoning should u have just left the African store's site and never spoke of them when they cheated u?
I did leave the African store's site and have ceased ALL contact and communication with them. I warned others about them because fair is fair, and people need to know the truth. BUT your opinion is as such and valuable and to an extent you are right. But I know if I see something that I don't like on youtube I will turn it off.
P.S. - If people think it's gross that you use animal fat to make soap, I wonder what they'd think of BREAST MILK SOAP! Haha! Someone mentioned that on a soap forum I'm on. Now that's sick!
There is a video here on youtube that a lady did with her friend. They used frozen breast milk (like for her baby to drink that she had stored lol) and burnt the milk with the lye because she didin't use water first lol
Who cares what kind of soap you make! Seriously.... eff those people. I know people who make ALL kinds of soaps... veggie soaps and animal fat soaps, melt and pour soaps, yadda yadda yadda.
People can choose whether or not they want to use animal fat soap... I don't know why they care whether or not you're making it. I wonder if they know what's in their storebought soap and what processes it took to get the ingredients for that!
Girl, don't let those people get under you're skin. They are just showing their ignorance. You are right, it is your chioce. I loved your video on making tallow, especially because you were so close to me which made it more real. Keep doing what you do. Good job!! I love Nancy, too.
Thank you :-) I think that ignorance it combated with education and I am just educating those who think the know the real soap world. Nancy is my soap Queen :-) How close to you am I? lol
I like your shampoos recipe though.

see thats why you sell at civil war reenactments. the men love soap that is made from beef tallow or lard becuase thats how they made it during the civil war. and they want everything to be period correct :) the only reason i use oils are because most women are picky. they dont understand that thats how they use 2 make soap is save all the fats from cooking add lye water and ect. i dont think many ever will all they care about is if they look good. at least women where i live but noNOT ME!!

I know that God made animals but we have injected them with things God never intended and as a result, the product is no longer natural. Each person has to make a decision based on his/her own convictions. I'm not judging you for choosing that. I know that most Americans are clueless to the treatment of these animals and their living conditions. My concern is simply that tallow is probably no longer so safe.
yukica1 2 years ago
Also prions that are carried through tallow from mad cows, swine, chickens, sheep, etc... are not killed by high heat temperatures. Check it out, its true. Howard Lyman, Oprah, and Harpo productions were sued togeteher but they won because Howard shared the truth about the meat industries here in America. If you haven't seen it, it's eye opening!!!
yukica1 2 years ago
If an item has tallow as an ingredient, and you want cow and not cat, you might want to verify with the company what type of tallow it is as much of it comes from rendered road kill and Humane Society left overs.

@yukica1 wow you just kepp yapping dont ya? u dont know when to shut your mouth!

I know I am late seeing this but I wanted to let you know MY tallow comes from a registered and certified butcher. He cuts the animals himself, and certifies that they are corn and grain fed cows. I do not get my tallow from any companies.
Desaundrea 1 year ago
FYI I am a vegetarian and yes my choice is animal free. I have nothing against your comments but would like to add tallow can come from any animal, higher grades being cattle based , cows, pigs, mutton. However, I've also found that sodium tallowate in products can also be cats, dogs, etc. That's absolutely gross but it is by far the cheapest for large factories to acquire and abundant as well.

Hi Desaundra,
I heard about your hot process making via Sherrielnett videos.

Glycerin is animal based. Vegetable Glycerin is not.
thesuperfe 2 years ago
I am aware of this and that is exactly my point in this video that even natural occuring glycerin is made with tallow. vegetable glycerin of course is made via veggies.
Desaundrea 2 years ago
tallow soap rocks! mild, hard and full of superior quality glycerine. i render my own and sell them and they fly out the door! my vege and vegan soap hangs around forever untill i mill it with tallow. my tallow and goatsmilk is my biggest seller...ALL Animal soap!!
spankses 2 years ago 2
Thank you for this video...I actually have not seen any of your other ones, but I was wondering about how the bases of the soap are made and you cleared that up in your educational "rant" haha. I am going to look into the vegetable based ones for my own soaps. Peace
kahea2018 2 years ago
Yes, you can make wonderful soap by using that method. I was simply stating, that not all the glycerin m&p that you see on the market is the kind using animal products.
I make a hard glycerin soap, with no funny ingredients..it's all natural. So it is out there.
Deenanemily 2 years ago
There is also a vegetable glycerin. I make my products with it, researched it. Might want to double check.
Deenanemily 2 years ago
I am very well aware of the types of glycerin out there to make soap and hair products. I use veggie glycerin in my hair products AND in my soaps in liquid form to add extra moisture. Trust me, I am the QUEEN of research for ingredients :o) But so you know, even hard veggie glycerin soap may have other chemicals added to it. that is why it is better to make your own gylcerin soap from vegetable oils in soap making. :o)

Animal fat is better, why,
The increased demand for palm oil which is obtained from the fruit of the oil palm tree and can be grown only in tropical environments is fuelling destruction of the rainforest habitat of Sumatran and Bornean orangutans, pushing those endangered species even closer to extinction. Estimates show that if something isnt done soon to stop the spread of palm oil plantations into the forests that harbour these orangutans, they will be extinct in twenty years.
annkus3 2 years ago
I agree :o( I use palm oil only from sustainable sources. But I only use it in soap making and I don't make soap that often anymore. BUT Tallow soaps are very mild and just as beneficial to the skin as palm oil. There are more cows in the world than there are orangutans. And so we are doing th orangutans a favor by using suet from bovine, and not destroying their habitat to obtain palm fruit.
Desaundrea 2 years ago
God put animals here for sure, and subjecting them to our use! God's blessings are beautiful and beneficial :)
billyzibby1 2 years ago
Amen :o) That is my point exactly. If we didn't eat or use animals in some way they would rule this planet and we would be an endangered species.
Desaundrea 2 years ago
Yup, the animal "worshiper's" run amok on Youtube and everywhere else. They have made veganism into a paganistic religion. Their choice, no foul. But when they attempt to impose their choices on others it makes me want to render their fat for some lovely soap. Live long SWEENEY TODD!

YOu rock girl!!!! Making soap from fat is old school, all of our ancestors made their soap from fat! They didn't have the luxury of shopping online, they had to use what they had. I like both veg soap and tallow soap.
evilbarb 2 years ago
Thank you. I remember when my grandmother made soap, I didn't know just WHAT she was doing, it it allways involved the stuff under her sink and fat that she saved from cooking. Now I am older I understand and if my people have been making soap for ages with fat then so will I lol :o)
Desaundrea 2 years ago
SWEENEY TODD!!!
Fantastic!
Sorry, loves to the soap.

Desaundrea 2 years ago
Excellent video. You know you've probably upset a lot of 'purist' who didn't know where glycerin came from. Lol. My mind automatically goes to all the PETA people running around in leather shoes...oops, did I say that out loud? *G* I'm getting ready to start my own adventures in soap making and I have no qualms about using tallow. My ancestors used it. I will too. 5 stars. =D
Sherri119 2 years ago
Thank you :o) Yes there are PETA people wagging their judgment finger at me lol Like you said they are doing it wearing leather shoes lol. Purists have to realize the word pure means: clean, fresh, untainted, free of disease or chemical. So there is nothing wrong with my tallow soaps as they are all of the above. :o)

Do you know how African Black soap is made, what it's made from? You should be proud of what you make. I hope to buy some soon.
Ididucantoo 2 years ago 2

ANGELAATVANITY 2 years ago
Thank you for the compliment. I try to make the best bars I can. Poison in commercial soaps! That was my point EXACTLY! lol They were saying that I shouldn't use animal fats and how bad they are, but commercial soaps are causing cancer! And so far I have had the softess skin with my tallow soaps.
Desaundrea 2 years ago
I see nothing wrong w/ your choices. The way I see it--if you are making soap from whatever you use f/ ingredients then you are doing much better than using commercial soaps. I try my best to educate my customers about the benefits of handmade v/s commercial with all the disadvantages but have found that most people don't even care.
ANGELAATVANITY 2 years ago
This is SO true. But for those that do I make my soaps and hair products from scratch and all natural :o) Thank you for understanding. :o)

Splendorious 2 years ago
LOL Actually if you don't see the words "Sodium Tallowate,Cocoate,or Palmate" you are actually bathing in a bunch of chemically made detergents. Commercial soaps todays are made of detergents with a few natural oils thrown in to supposedly impart softeness to the skin, but I noticed after I used the junk that my skin was always dryer after their use. Trust me on this one, you want the oils and fats to bath in lol
Desaundrea 2 years ago
i saw the vid where you used fat...its just something to see. my mom told me her grandma used fat and box lye. i sorry i said yuck...seeing you do that just made me think all soap was made with fat. i would like to make soap but am learning.
hope i did not bother you. peace
Splendorious 2 years ago
You are not one of the people I am trying to educate dear :-) But seeing these words from you lets me know that I did reach you with educational words. If someone had told me 1 year ago while I was bathing with my Lever 2000, that I would be making my own healthy, natural soaps someday I would have said "Yeah right!" But here I am doing so:-) Trust me I was stunned about the animal fat as well, but I read up on it.

i subscribe n have nothing against u.. but i think u are wrong in this video. since u made it a public video i do have the right to rate it one if i don't agree with something said in ur video. n since u allowed comments people do have the right to say what they think.. if u disagree tell them but it makes no sense (2 me) 2 tell someone 2 just stop watching at things they see as wrong; by that reasoning should u have just left the African store's site and never spoke of them when they cheated u?
jaleyna 2 years ago
I did leave the African store's site and have ceased ALL contact and communication with them. I warned others about them because fair is fair, and people need to know the truth. BUT your opinion is as such and valuable and to an extent you are right. But I know if I see something that I don't like on youtube I will turn it off.

P.S. - If people think it's gross that you use animal fat to make soap, I wonder what they'd think of BREAST MILK SOAP! Haha! Someone mentioned that on a soap forum I'm on. Now that's sick!
ashleyandlee 2 years ago
