If an anime were to be made, I think it should be a completely different continuity so as to make the cases as fresh and intriguing as possible. I mean, yes it would be cool to re watch our favorite cases in anime form, but those who watch the anime first would end up finding the games lacking. Also, some people may find watching the same cases they solved in the game repetitive and thus boring.

Honestly, a Phoenix Wright anime would be rubbish. Considering the depth that each case goes into, it just won't transcribe well to a cartoon show. Not to rain on anyone's parade, but it's an awful idea.

Besides, it's not like each case has to be one episode or something, every time a *To be continued* appears in the games, think of that as the end of an episode. Also, what you said doesn't make any sense. There's plenty of anime/cartoon shows out there with a lot of depth.

@JMBoote1 It makes perfect sense. You spend hours upon hours investigating cases and gathering evidence. The length of time it takes to complete a case just won't fit into an episode of Phoenix Wright. Now, a movie would be a lot more effective.

Personally, I'm just a little annoyed of seeing people squeal over ever game that comes from Japan and saying that it MUST become an anime. Sure, anime can be great, but I don't exactly want to have the plot butchered by a lackluster show.

@MyPhantomile You make it sound as if each case would be one episode. Like I said, the cases themselves can be split into several episodes. Also, you don't spend "hours upon hours" investigating. Now, I'm not saying it absolutely HAS to become an anime, but the series deserves it. It's become almost every form of merchandise, has a manga, and a very devoted fanbase. The next logical step for the series is an anime. By the way, who's to say it will be bad?

Great song, but... This theme is not "Pursuit - Cornered 2004", but "Pursuit - Caught". Pursuit Cornered 2004 is a variation of the original Cornered theme that can be heard near the end of the last trial of  "Trials and Tribulations".
