  • What mallets were you using ? They looked like they belonged to the Robert Van Sice series . Were they ? If not, what were they ?

  • this guy helped my drumline recently. hes a really cool guy!

  • I really enjoyed, reminds me of those nights gazing up at the stars.

  • Hey Danny, I saw this and I was so blown away I decided to purchase it for contest. I am 18 and have realized it is somewhat out of my league haha. I love the challenge but I was wondering if there are any sticking pointers you had! I can't count how many times I've tried to catch what you're doing. I am VERY close to emulating your approach to the solo so I would LOVE any help.

Thanks for playing such an inspiring piece.

    Kyle

(oh and what mallets where you using!)

  • Is this the same Jon Anderson that's in Yes?

  • haha, no.

  • wow keep it up

  • This is so pretty! :)

  • exelent!! you are very very good!! Which is the name of this piece?? enine??

  • The title is actually "Banafrit" and can be purchased from Innovative percussion.

  • A world premier of Jonathan Anderson's new piece "Dancing Shadows" can be viewed from my profile. Performed most excellently by world renowned performer Hiromi Kamiya.

  • Thank you all so very much for your interest. The solo is not published through innovative percussion under the title "Banafrit". It can be purchased anywhere innovative percussion is sold. Steve weiss is a good website for ordering it online. Hope you enjoy!

I think the hardness of the mallets lended a cool voice.

  • Thank you all for the comments. My names Jonathan Anderson, or Jon Anderson as Danny put in the title. The piece has not been publish yet but I'm working on that right now. It is actualy not an improvisation, Danny played it note for note from whats written, so when I get it published this video is what you will get. Thanks again for the interest! I'll keep you guys posted.
