oh its true alright im from new jersey having a boom fire drinking with friends suddenly we all heard like 1000's of dogs barking in one spot like 30 yards away then the barking changed too.. i dont know how too describe but it was very evil screaming/growling noice for atleast a good 5 mins after i heard that i booked out of thoughs woods and plan on going back with more people too witness what i heard back there that dark night ps this isnt what i heard this just too funny sounds like a bird

The pine barrens are my backyard, a unique, beautiful place, mysterious like most uninhabited areas are. The wildlife and flora are something to be seen..but I balk at the claims of evil, there is no evil there, unless its being done by human visitors.  For years I've hiked, camped, canoed, sketched, painted, drove thru and just hung out in the Pine Barrens. Like all isolated places, and especially at night, the pines can be spooky, but if there really was a devil, I'd have seen him by now.

if you saw the jersey devil when you were 8 years old and heard the jersey devil on your roof and saw it stair at you with its yellow eyes then it is real.people always thought that there was no such thing as monsters but boy every single one of them were wrong cause there are monsters out in this world.the jersey devil story is a real story. if you heard of the leads family its been passed down to a guy named Harry Leads. you can ask questions or whatever you want if you want to know the story.

I've lived in New Jersey for 12 years and recently started researching this legend after I saw it on Destination Truth. I think there's definately something out there. There have been hundreds of sightings, and most of them are very similar. I think that's far too coincidental for it to be completely made up. I do, however, disagree with the Pine Barrens having an "evil force" within them. I've been hiking in Wharton State Forest several times and its quite enjoyable.

Nonsense. There is no such thing. I doubt if the Lanni Lenape ( the Natives who lived in this region ) had a story or talked about a spirit that roamed this area. This story came from the Leeds Family from around the 18th Century.Many Europeans who came to this area believed in demons and devils, and were highly religious. Superstition and witchcraft was feared among the population at that time.

Some questions: where did you get the quotes in the middle of the video and what made you choose those particular photos for the video? Was it random or did you have a feeling about each of them? @VMB871 If you look at the open spot in the trees across the road, then look a little to the right of that. It looks like a skull missing the lower jaw. The teeth are where the bushes meet the road. Two empty spaces make the eye sockets. Kinda creepy if you see it.

Well that's how these stories start. For over 250 yrs. The Jersey Devil has terrified thousands, and yet,no one had a definite description of him. I not a real believer in this, but I live a few miles from his supposed birthplace and the people I've talked to swear by his existence and still afraid to go in the woods at night.I may not believe that story,but I believe they seen something.
