You said it's aimed at the Macbook family, but I can't imagine the heat sinks working properly on ordinary Macbooks. In a Macbook pro the heat is dispersed around in the aluminium, but my unibody-white Macbook doesn't do that, the heat only gets out at the vents. If it really does work on Macbooks I'll probably get one.

@00AYOR00 That's why he said it's an unboxing video, never heard him say it was a tutorial video at all, it's just one of those things that people like to do when they get new kit - open it up and share it with the world, then when people search for a product they can see video reviews like this. I honestly hope there aren't people who need to watch a video on how to unpack something (although I wouldn't be surprised if there were!) :-)

Good review but these products are only for style desktop look. Macbooks do get really hot and I'll recommend the Thermapak Heatshift Pad, the best to date.

It'd be nice if a dock with similar mechanical construction, looks, shape and size could be had. A single dock connector to plug in power, external monitor, usb devices, keyboard/mouse, printer and so on. That'd make for a great desktop replacement while retaining the option of mobility when desired.

That's so stupid. There is this thing called a book, and you can slide it on the bottom of the computer and it tilts! No need to spend so much money. Good video other than that. This guy does great reviews.

It is still useless. Who cares if it gets heated. That is why Apple, the genius' that hey are, put FANs in their notebooks. They go through tests to make sure that they run properly under heat. Still stupid. Can't change my opinion.

The hotter your laptop runs, the more chance of failure it has. Of course, if you buy an SSD, you won't have a need for fans.

How do you know that this thing is proven to work? Hell, it has jewels on it! And btw, Aluminum is a conductor, so it will just spread the heat around, and not actually transfer it.

If your MacBook Pro is running that hot, I think you should be running it on top of dry ice or something. You should try to keep it between 20 to 60 degrees Celsius, otherwise it puts a lot of strain on your laptop.
