What a great guy. I've been watching these past keynotes of apple even though I've watched them before and Steve never fails to amaze me. He is indeed a genius. I know this will sound cheesy but I feel as if there's a crack in my heart because I know now, that I won't be able to see Steve work ever again. :(
@TheOpaso steve jobs wasn't apple CEO during 1976-1985.. the CEO's were: michael scott (1977-1981) Mike Markkula (1982-1983) and john sculley (1983-1993)
Ich bin seit 10 Jahren Apple Fan und ohne Steve hätten wir so manche Technologien nicht. Steve hat immer den Riecher für neue Technologien gehabt und manchmal muss man halt alte Zöpfe abschneiden.
@cemsengul16 It was positive for the company. Jobs worked on himself and then become a better man. He also founded NeXT and Pixar. And without the NeXT side, OS X wouldn't be as awesome as it is today.
@cemsengul16 Sculley resigned himself and passed Apple down to another CEO which passed it down to 2 more, before finally reaching Gill Amelio, which then labeled Apple as "a dead company". Later , in 1997, Gill resigned and brought Steve Jobs back to Apple as their interim CEO by the means of Apple buying over NeXT.
@heathirving Being a stupid troll is one this, but being an uneducated moron is something worse. Lack of quality ? Lack of constant updates ? Too complex to use ? 1) Bill Gates resigned as CEO of Microsoft years ago; he's in the same position Steve Jobs is now.
2) Having apps constantly break with updates does suck, OS X only had that problem with Lion and with very few apps. Windows Vista, however, had it in a lot of apps.
1.thats true, but with 90% market share all microsoft has to do is not make another vista

Ever see Pirates of Silicon Valley? That movie dramatically depics some of the main reasons why Jobs was voted out and why Wosniac left the company. Steve Jobs is kinda crazy, and a bit of a hot-head
hey... it wasn't Sculley that dragged Apple down... it was GIL AMELIO who almost had Apple torn into pieces. The Pepsi-cola man sucked anyway. Look at Florina at HP... you guys must know one thing, it does not take any company's MD or CEO who can simply become an MD or a CEO of a tech company especially those who aren't tech savy enough. The Steves (@Apple) & Larry (@Sun) are the tech genius of the century. Gates is just a copycat and Ballmer is just the man who barks behind the copycat.
Thank god Steve Jobs came back to Apple. I've recently converted from Windows XP to OS X. I love my MacBook. It's got everything I want or could ever want - hardware or software.
Just a pity they cost a thousand dollars more than competitor's hardware in non-US countries. I live in NZ, where Apple hardware is WAY too expensive for what you get. :S Still, I run Mac OS X :) Love it
A Macbook at those specs is nearly 2000 dollars in our currency, it is not worth it. Apple have great hardware but ... import prices and currency conversion make it prohibitive anywhere other than North America and the UK :(
macbooks are way too costly in india too...but i went the extra mile, pleaded with a friend in the US to buy one on my behalf...and am i glad i did that! i love my Macbook!
Steve Jobs is probably the best CEO of any computer company. He nurtured Apple back to health, and he drove sales through the roof and made/created the best products of the time.
