I remember I was in the elevator at work heading to my floor when the tv screen showed breaking news that had his name all over it. All I saw was Luc Bourdon...motorcycle...and died. I almost threw up in the elevator. Feels like I lost a brother eventhough I have no real connection to him. I guess he was like a brother to us here in Canada when Kris lead the team to Gold and Luc by his side. Those are our boys that make us proud. We certainly lost a great one. RIP Luc, we miss you!

It was the first day he had the bike right? His Mom told him "don't get it, don't get it" but he did anyway, and I not only miss him as a strong D man for us I also feel for all his family and his girlfriend.

Luc got drafted 10th overall, I remember watching it on TV. I was excited to see him play some games in Vancouver. I just miss him and hope his family can move on.

I was stunned by this news. I heard from somewhere that his mother was extremely supportive of Luc's hockey career and she went to almost every game and pracetice, and when she had vacation, she would use all her money just to watch her son play. This is devistating, especially when he had great potential to become a great NHL defenceman.
