Everyone who says his information is bad probably is only saying that because they bowl and they have the ball around their body, a ridiculous backswing, or something similar.

Everything he said is correct. If you disagree, you probably aren't very good, or at the very least, are a "hot/cold" bowler.

His approach may not have been fancy, but that's the point. Something easy and comfortable will be far more consistent than the stupid flashy shit you see most bowlers do.

I got to say, the fact that you're showing techniques is awesome so people can learn. But you said you wanted to do a four step approach and then when you demonstrated without the ball, you did six steps. You're release sucked as well, probably why the camera didn't show you hitting light as hell as you didn't have any roll on the ball. The point is, if you're going to teach people, teach them right. Good of you to try though.

thanks, this is a really good overview for the basics in bowling. it really helps as a person whose never bowled before, especially if its at someones birthday party or w/e (so yeh, not a good look if u cant bowl and ppl laugh at u, and this vid is a great start). what u said bout a pendulum and taking it nice and easy is spot on. it keeps the ball away from the gutters. also, note that you should never throw it (ie. give it airtime before it hits the surface), but ROLL it. throw=gutter%increase

Use the weight of the ball more than arm strength and it seems for me at least as another beginner that the slower you approach the better the results. Don't rush it's a game of patience and repetition, mastering your own technique.
